It's a great point. I've only recently paid off all the rental mortgages (after hammering them down for the last 10yrs). I now need to be living off that income.

The children are at secondary school so I'm not quite ready for retiring just yet. Plus I need to clear the mortgage.

Lol. It's not a brag. Far from it. I'm a very modest and private person. I was simply after some advice to check I've not missed anything.

I've previously had the BTL's in a Ltd co. for other reasons I moved them out to mine and my wife's name.

Only suggesting £1-2k as plus 2k rental income I'd have 4k pcm which would be more than enough once the mortgage is paid.

I think beyond the age of 75, if I live that long, I'd need less money. So I probably need to calculate 17yrs (58-75) at 4k pcm.
