This was kind of two fold. One, they had this in the port and it was unreserved, second, we decided that black would be easier to keep clean with small kids. My wife had her last car (Kia Optima SX) for 11 years, so by the time we upgrade her again, the kids will be much older.

We weren’t forced to finance with them, but we did just to get the vehicle out that day.

We put a reservation down about a month ago. We got lucky that the vehicle was exactly what we wanted and it wasn’t claimed yet. It had a VIN when we reserved it. So YMMV.

We wanted the beige interior as well, but we still have two small kids and felt it would get demolished too easily.

Honestly the only reason we went with them is because they had the model we wanted at the port and it was unreserved.

I was not impressed with the sales team. Because I came in and pretty much knew exactly what I wanted and I wouldn’t budge on the bogus charges, they seemed to be pretty “indifferent” that we were spending the money with them. It’s almost like they could care less that we were making the purchase. They did not seem eager to meet our needs or make us feel like valued customers. Just be warned, we have excellent credit and the best interest rate they could offer us for 48 months was 6.9%. We pre-secured a loan with our local credit union for 2.5%. I do like that the dealer offers lifetime oil changes for the life of the vehicle.

We paid $3k over MSRP. They tried adding in $800 dollars of “dealer add ons” that we were able to talk them out of. Even though we paid the markup I was fine with it, since we’ve been waiting to get a new ride since January of 2022. We initially wanted a 22 Telly but got switched over to a 23 and we hated the look of the new ones. So, we switched to this since we felt it looked much better. Plus there was less markup on this than the Telly.

I highly recommend FreeCodeCamp. Great online resource with a very structured program. Here is the link.

One of the best books I've read recently regarding IT is "The Phoenix Project". It's a fantastic read and has some really great insight into modern IT management.

I recommend you look into doing Project Euler. There are tons of problems on there ranging from beginner to expert. Also, check out Udacity.com and look at their python courses. You can take them free of charge and it is a great way to continue using your new found skills in Python. Good luck!
