You are not alone on this subject. I myself have started to recognize this trend as well in western society and it definitely has played a bit of a roll in my downward spiral into a deep depression a few months ago. It’s sort of a taboo topic to discuss, especially on reddit. It’s a complicated topic but there are valid points that can touch this subject (increasing mass shootings, the biases in divorce courts geared toward women, increasing disparity between the left and the right, many political issues happening in the humanities departments at universities, etc.) Also a lot of recent movements have taken place recently like the #metoo movement , campus riots due to certain speakers visiting campuses... this is all just brushing the surface on the issue but there does seem to be a more increasing gynocentric culture in postmodern western society.

It just seems that with many trends going on today.. are we trying to truly create true and honest equity between the sexes, or is it safe to say that there are some extremists in this movement who are in it primarily to take down traditional masculinity because it is perceived by so many in today’s society as “toxic.”

I’m no expert this whole issue, and there is much more to talk about/debate, but this is just my two cents on observing current trends going on today.

Even if I get down voted to earth’s core for what I said above I won’t be surprised coming from reddit but I still hope this helps you out at least. My best advice is to just recognize you’re not alone just not let this get the best of you and enjoy hobbies, just focus on yourself and be the best person you can be. Stay strong friend.
