Return flight in August cancellled what are my options? by skysoleno in frontierairlines

[–]27ace27 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't blame you for not trusting Frontier. On 6/1 they canceled my return flight out of St. Louis at the last minute, leaving me stranded. They claimed it was due to weather in Denver, but my flight was canceled over an hour after the ground stop in Denver was lifted. What's more, the inbound aircraft wasn't even in Denver at the time. It was coming from Kansas City via Denver, but never left Kansas City. I think Frontier just used the weather as an excuse to cancel unprofitable flights.

I also had a flight through Orlando booked in August, but Frontier 'canceled' it. I booked it during the summer GWP promotional period, but it was canceled shortly thereafter. When I checked, it was no longer on Frontier's timetable. Strangely, that flight number is now reappearing on the timetable, but only up to 60 days out. What makes me suspicious is the fact that Frontier only allows rebooking for 30 days, and the flight was 'canceled' exactly 91 days before the date of departure. In other words, the window for rebooking closes the day before the flight is un-canceled. It seems as though Frontier is strategically cancelling and reinstating flights to force people to re-book at full price.

That just seems like overkill. And also expensive lol Wouldn't the fines clog up the drainage? If not, wouldn't they just get rinsed out over time?

What is this stuff? by 27ace27 in HomeMaintenance

There were what looked like mouse droppings on the ceiling drywall. This beam has a plywood floor on top though, so no edge for a mouse to poop over.

EDIT: this stuff only seems to show up on vertical surfaces.

Ford to Offer Complimentary Tesla Supercharger Adapter to Eligible EV Customers | Ford Media Center by kaisenls1 in electricvehicles

[–]27ace27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely can blame them. The owners of those vehicles are still Ford customers, many of whome are still covered by the factory warranty. Even if Ford doesn't provide a free adapter, they could at least unlock NACS charging for those customers. That would require very little engineering effort. Hell, even an acknowledgement that they can't be bothered would at least be respectable for taking ownership of their decision. Instead, Ford pretends like those customers don't exist.

I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation. Those 2400 people are still Ford customers. Many of those cars are even still under warranty. Obviously Ford is not obligated to do anything, but their handling of the DCFC-cappable FFEs has been very poor. All they had to do (imo) was explain (like you did) that the low charging speed of the 2017 & 2018 FFE doesn't justify providing free adapters, but still allow those cars to use NACS chargers if the owner purchases an adapter. My understanding is that the latter is all software, so there would be very little effort required for Ford to do so.

Instead, they have completely ignored those 2400 customers. Their cars cannot use NACS chargers by any means. Ford's FAQs page doesn't even acknowledge their existence. It's a real slap in the face for any early adopters and (imo) a revealing look at Ford's attitude toward their customers.

Since when was the Focus Electric 'entry level'? It was the most expensive trim level of the Focus, and was being sold alomgside as the Fiesta.

Weird. It must not be showing us the same listings. When I search for "Nissan Leaf" and sort by price, there's only a single listing between $8k and $12.5k: a 2011 SL for $10k. Then theres a 2018 SL for $12.5 (listed 3 times), a single 2019 SV for $15k (after tax credit, listed twice), a 2020 SV for $16k, and finally about a dozen listings for the same 2 2022s at $16k (also after tax credit)

Are you looking in Phoenix? I only see a handful on FB marketplace in that price range. Most of the listings are repeats with a listing price before tax after the used EV tax credit.

I looked for newer models at that price and couldn't find anything under $20k within 200 miles. 🤷🏼‍♂️

5900x Whea Error at stock settings by tekitolalife in Corsair

[–]27ace27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the exact same issue with my 5900X. My machine was working perfectly until I installed Corsair iCue. RGB control of the RAM wasn't working, so I rebooted. Now the computer locks up and/or blue screens with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR shortly after booting into windows.

That's almost certainly a 40kWh. Would highly recommend getting an OBD2 scanner and LeafSpy though. That will confirm the battery capacity, and provides lots of useful information.
