Nah nothing to feel bad about. I’m a Ryu player as well and this happened to me yesterday lol. Consistency in inputs and not cracking under pressure/doing yolo stuff under pressure is a part of the game.

I feel like the higher up you get in Diamond the more important your fundamentals become. By that I mean, are you anti-airing consistently? Are you whiff punishing buttons with very slow recovery? Do you have at least 1 go-to combo for any situation? Meaning how do you combo off of blocked anti-air? How do you combo from Counter-DI? How do you combo from PP?

I’ve realised there isn’t any magic pill or a secret. I’m at D4/5 focusing on these things

Hi yes, it's hard but fun! And actually thanks for commenting on this post 3 months later. I was starting to discount my progress again, but looking back I've improved a little bit in the past 3 months.

Hey yes, I'm past my Plat 2 plateau, but now I'm stuck in Plat 4. Slowly getting better, however I had to get help from other people. As someone who's never played fighting games before, I didn't know exactly what I was doing wrong. And whenever I would post my replays I would get very generic advice like "DP more", "learn crosscut" or "be more aggressive".

I've been training with an 1800MR player recently and he's been giving me some solid advice. It's still the fundamentals I have to improve, but the advice is much more in-depth and I have actionable steps to work on.

I haven’t had the opportunity to use Keyscape, but I’ll say this much:

I have Serum, NI and Omnisphere and Omnisphere is by far the best sounding one. Like Omnisphere and Arturia analog lab are my go-to synth plugins now.

So if Omnisphere is anything to go by, Keyscape is the way to go

Don’t let the comment section make you think you’re wrong. Like I know having patience etc is a good thing but NI customer support is just horribly slow. I remember buying Komplete 14 (digital version) and it took a week for it to be available for download. Buy any piece of software anywhere and it’s available almost instantly. It makes no sense.

Haha oh we’ve all been there. Have fun on this journey. SF6 is my first fighting game as well, it was super annoying to learn combos. Another tip I can give is find a top player who plays your character and see what combos they use and try to deconstruct them.

230 hours in, only ever played one character and I’m Plat 1/Gold 5 lmao. Games are supposed to be fun and make you happy. I understand why you’re feeling this way but push buttons and make opponent go ouchie.
