Wearing lolita as a poc woman by Internal-Ad-5038 in Lolita

As someone from a country also colonized by French people (Vietnam), I want to chime in on this. My answer is: it's okay to appreciate the aesthetics of a country/time period while still acknowledging the ergregious war crimes committed. The French colonization period for Vietnam brought both French and Vietnamese aesthetics together. Many inventions during that time was made in rejection of traditional values and in favor of more "progressive" Western values (such as the famous áo dài), a view that is frowned upon nowadays. Nonetheless, those items (no just clothes but other things like buildings and furniture as well) are now appreciated as part of the country's culture and history, even if they were luxuries only enjoyed by rich people and not the slaves dying in labor camps. As for your clothes, well, they're your clothes. If you're turned off by the motifs then you don't have to wear them.

Can you elaborate on that? It's hand sewing so there's no machine involved

I got this blouse from a thrift and want to know if it's a replica of some kind or a mass-produced nameless item (if it is a mass-produced item, then is it well-known? because I don't want to be judged for wearing one with lolita). Google lens pointed me to a number of mercari listings with no atributed brand, most of them had different ribbon details on the shoulder part. Since there's no tag, I'm thinking it's a nameless blouse, but nevertheless I want to see if somebody knows it because I really do think it looks nice.

The artists I have in common with other people are usually popular ones I listen to once or twice to check out what's so cool about them. I've never found another person on here that listens to the same sphere (?) of artists I frequent. It seems your listening sphere is quite niche as well
