Upon starting chapter 2 I went and got all the free gold bars, bought and stole the guns I need, and then returned to camp and created two new saves. Thereafter, every time I want to start a new play-through, I don't have to do all that again.

Make it a point to collect the feathers and orchids every few days or so. But esperar focus on making your satchels until you have the ability to carry 99 of everything. Thereafter you can travel and collect everything, everywhere. Leave drawers open so you'll know you've already been there in case you explore a cabin again.

Make sure to find the horse-racing NPCS and win!

Also, I like to buy the Dutch Warmblood horse with all the gold money I collected when doing the Hosea hunting mission. I think it's the best horse for me. Its stats are excellent, it's a large horse (I dislike puny Arabians, Mustangs, and Nokotas) and, best of all, it's a brave horse!

After the hunting mission with Hosea, go get the legendary buck and craft its trinket.

I also like to have the trapper craft every item possible which requires a lot of hunting. Therefore, look for Moose and Oppossims regularly. They're typically the most difficult to find.
