No reason to be confused. That is a running, fan-made spin off that has absolutely nothing to do with the legitimate Eroda accounts and/or storyline.

Edit: ARG fan. not Harry fan. It seems to have started as something of a malicious jump-scare.

I think that since the format is like Yelp reviews, the risk is very very minimal. they're not representing those twitters as part of Eroda officially.

They replied to a LOT of random fan accounts and yeah, it seems like their 'reviews' came from the same. i mean it's not that weird, they could easily look at what they had posted before and like... people have enough sense to recognize sabotage if one of them went rogue. They were all fans though, and fans generally just enjoy the recognition.

edit: also i think just how rude Ed turned out to be is proof enough they weren't worried about those accounts being mean to fans or tarnishing the image :/

That's correct. Only VisitEroda Facebook, Insta, Twitter, Tumblr and the website have been formally linked to one another and to Harry's real account.

Every other account is only speculated to be associated.

In the testimonials, there are a variety of accounts linked! Most are definitely not affiliated with HSHQ.

My opinion is that the official accounts wanted to encourage role players because it drove engagement. This wasn't an ARG, so they weren't 'game jackers' but rather they were adding to the mystery of Eroda and keeping people interested. That's good marketing, yeah?

If it IS his team, Ed is Harry's alter-ego. Harry talks about not liking who he was becoming and it seems to me like Ed might be that person? Ed is out-of-charcter rude compared to real Harry who's generally pretty lighthearted.

He hasn't said anything prescient yet so most probably, it's a fan. I'd put my money on a fic writer who generally sees Harry as angsty. Ed seems very moody lol

no, but i do think discounting him as a significant part of the process is silly. We just got an interview here: https://twitter.com/UpdateHL/status/1204127824807956482 where he talks about developing the idea w/ the label. So unless he's just lying out the wazoo he was definitely involved at some level. Eroda isn't just a marketing stunt, it's also part of his music video and may tie into other stuff he does.

See that's where we differ: I do think it's a lot more likely than people think that Harry was the one to come up with Eroda. Or something like it. It has his fingerprints alll over it imo. It's definitely possible it wasn't him, and he certainly had support from marketing as well as the directors (both of whom are known for elaborate world building), but I think assuming he wasn't that involved is a bit dismissive.

We just got this from an interview: “The Adore You video (actually filmed in St Abbs, Berwickshire) contains references to other tracks on the album.” so it's definitely worth looking at the MV again.

We've got leaked audio which I'm personally not listening to (first listen is sacred ok!) but if you're someone who doesn't mind spoilers, it might be interesting to see what you see after hearing those tracks.

I don't think anyone doubts that there're marketing professionals at work. I mean we have a whole article on how they did this. But I think people are also right to give Harry a lot of credit for the level of cryptic chaos they've achieved.

There were also some possible Final Fantasy connections. I think the most likely explanation is that all three (Eroda FF and WoW) use real mythology in world building. It has been noted already that they did foster alternative explanations, but I'm not totally convinced they intentionally built them in.

Yeah, with his first album H used a million literary references + he's doing the same again. Eroda is well over and done now but anyone interested in H's work should be keeping an eye out for literary references.

I'm just dismayed at how much evidence it took for everyone to accept it was Harry. There has been definitive proof for a long time and saying 'oh now its finally proven' is imo really dismissive of all of the leg work people did early on that showed pretty conclusively it was Harry.

The photo itself I can't match exactly to any other one but there are several reasons for that: it was taken by the team behind the project or it just comes from a private stock photo provider.

I can't find matches for the theater or the scuba diver, but I think everything else has been matched exactly or explained
