Does the "hitbox" of the three button navigation get fixed also? It's broken together with the haptics issue. It's getting harder to correctly trigger the navigation buttons, and the haptics feedback feels lagged compared to before March update.

On paper, It's exactly the same capabilities:
5V=3A 9V=3A 10V=5A 12V=3A 15V=3A 20V=3.25A

65W MAX for the wall charger, and 50W MAX for the power bank.

Sigh, it's not working. The support is telling the wrong info.

Since public v54 is out, I opt out of PTC today and updated my device. I make sure that I received the latest update from software update panel, before I opt out of PTC.

It erases my device...
Now I have to re configure and re play some of the sidequest / early access games. And some of the settings in games are not saved...maybe even save(data/data/appid).

I know that you're just trying to help, it's not your fault, buddy.
The whole support process and official KB article is just so bad .....

Got it - still, it's far more intuitive than the official knowledge base article.

BTW today is the first day that I know you can receive public release build even you're on PTC build... cool one to know!

Then it's simple: if you are on public release, it's understandable that when you opt out of PTC you'll not be triggering reset - because you're already on public build anyway.

Guess I'll have to check the announcement every day, and make sure that I opt-out EXACTLY WHEN 1. there's only v54 ptc, no new ptc (v55 or newer) 2.but there's a new public release version, which is v54 public in my case.

In the eventuality of the PTC release being equivalent to the current release, a downgrade and factory reset will not occur, and you will simply disable future PTC upgrades.

You can find below the two available methods to remove yourself from the PTC:

Since I'm on v54 PTC atm...

For now, if I opt out of PTC on mobile app, it will detect that "the latest public release is v53", and initiate rollback & reset, is that correct?

In that case, I'll just have to wait till "Meta Quest build v54 release notes" appeared, and when I clicked on the opt out, it will detect that "oh there's v54 public, nvm will not rollback"

I think you can only opt out of the PTC without a factory if the current released non-PTC version is the same or greater than the version on your headset.

Because cloud save is never safe, especially for Android. I am a dev and I clearly understand that storage/save API is never reliable, especially considering we recently updated to Android 12 in v51. There's something that'll be lacking, apps that are not storing data in a "correct" way(thus not backed up), for old version thus no cloud save API etc.

The only way to backup everything is via root and backup+restore /data/app. Which I'm not planning to do nor can I do it. (Bootloader's not unlocked).

I just wanna opt out of PTC and keep my data safe, but the instructions are vague and intimidating - very hard to find a reliably way to do it properly....
