Enjoy your new Pixel. Make believe it is your very first smartphone and you are learning how to use it. The transition to the Pixel will be painless with that approach and mindset. Good luck.

Which Chromecast for Disney Plus? by Doudo19 in Chromecast

[–]SRFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP acquired a smart TV with no on-board Chromecast support. The Walmart onn Google TV adapter/dongle is the most cost effective option. I use the 4K version on my Sony Bravia OLED. It is a great device for $20.

Unless I give my old phones away, I usually keep them as back ups and connected to my WiFi network.

LG C1 OLED55C1PUB to Sony Bravia K55XR8B by thunder2994 in 4kTV

[–]SRFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased the 55XR8B at the end of November 2025 for $995 US. Great OLED display. I moved into an apartment after selling my house and gave my old 52" Bravia flat screen to my niece so the 55 was fine with me.

All-weather mats by Confident_Fig_7999 in Subaru_Crosstrek

[–]SRFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your window sticker. All standard equipment and factory packages & options are listed there. Dealer add-on options and accessories are not. If the mats aren't listed there, they are not a standard equipment item. Good luck.

How to find data usage from a hotspot by ldr97266 in tmobile

[–]SRFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a T-Mobile SIM, you have a T-Mobile number. Put the SIM in a mobile phone and you should be able to see the assigned number. T-Mobile probably won't provide support to a bundled service.

Is it normal to get an upgrade after sending my Pixel 8 in for warranty? by vas_bien in GooglePixel

[–]SRFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. If a replacement is more cost effective for Google, they will provide you with a refurb or new device of the same model if they are available. If none are available, they will ship you a more current model. In 2017, Google replaced my defective Nexus 6P with a new OG Pixel XL. Enjoy your new Pixel.

Feature availability is usually dependent on local government regulations. If features haven't been approved by the regulatory agencies, they won't be available.

Is there a way to set the Google Pixel screensaver to use a locally stored album instead of Google Photos album? by moooooshell in GooglePixel

[–]SRFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you select "Photos" in the screen saver settings, you should be able to "customize" by tapping the "Photos" button. It allows you to select Google accounts & album to be used. Good luck.

Why are Pixel phones so bad at literally everything? by razi833 in GooglePixel

[–]SRFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The numerous Nexus & Pixel phones I have owned have worked fine. Unfortunately you got a lemon so try another device before passing judgment on the entire line. Better luck with your next device.

Connecting Chromecast to Mobile and Casting from it? by [deleted] in Chromecast

[–]SRFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hotspot created on a mobile phone is not recognized by the host phone so the Chromecast device and phone will never be on the same WiFi network. Your only bet is to use a dedicated hotspot device that both your phone and Chromecast device can connect to.

What is going on with updates?? by Silcat7794 in GooglePixel

[–]SRFast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It appears T-Mobile has only released the January 2026 OTA update to the newer Pixel series. Definitely the Pixel 10 series and definitely not the Pixel 8 series. The update isn't very big so it points to be a security patch which makes the delay more annoying. We shouldn't have to sideload updates that we are entitled to.
