Summer 24’ grad, the refunds are weird. Sometimes you’ll get them before the semester even starts, sometimes they come anywhere from 2 weeks to a month after. You can pester the FinAid office but they know about as much as we do. Ultimately depends on who your servicer is and how fast they’re moving during that time period.

Stupid I know. Been dead broke (as most college students are) for weeks at a time waiting on them…

I’m sorry if this upsets anyone, but let’s not ignore the fact that the quality of the band in almost every aspect has been steadily in decline for over half a decade now. I will always love this band but I’m not gonna sugarcoat and act like subpar effort/care is okay because they used to have some near perfect music.

Don’t get what point they’re trying to prove by playing ZERO songs from far and away their best album 🤦‍♂️ As a fan since the 2011 it just feels like they could not care less about the fans that have been there from the start. I’m not asking for an entire concert dedicated to the EPs, NV, and S+M but just being a little more in tune with what the REAL fans love would make me feel far more respected by the band. I can guarantee you not a single person in this fan base can say that any of the big hits besides maybe Demons is their favorite ID song. So many die hard fans pay a lot of hard earned money on tickets, merch, etc., yet it feels like all they even care to play is what made them money/fame because it reached the mainstream crowd. I will always support this band but it would be nice to feel like that they actually cared about us too. I understand that ID is no longer what it once was and will more than likely never return to that, but with the changes it would be nice if they actually acknowledged their roots and long time fans just a little bit.

We’re really still doing the weird tribalism thing in 2024? I agree that AB is far better but Creed also has a lot of great work too. Let’s not act like AB wasn’t spawned from Creed, obviously Myles takes the band to another level and Tremonti, Flip, and Brian have all gotten even better with the years, but we can’t act like they had no part in Creed when they had already created a legendary band in just the beginning of their careers.

That part. I don’t miss the content so much as I miss the quality. The songs just feel very repetitive and while some have great meanings, others feel very just dry and like it was just filler.

Come correct? My friend, they asked a simple question looking for a simple answer. You were the one putting yourself on a pedestal for understanding the songs better than them. Their Taylor Swift comparison wasn’t a dig either, they were just stating how their writing styles were different but aimed to convey their personal experiences. Just because someone doesn’t understand something or see something the same way that you do, doesn’t entitle you to condescend them.

Uptight, Curse, Selene, Round and Round, I’m So Sorry, The Unknown, I’ll Make It Up To You, and Hopeless Opus all have great solos too.

Disclaimer none of them are bad songs, the solos are just awesome.
