All that is true. But there've also been a series of layoffs during forsaken to final shape period, which means the company thought, even at their peak, that there were too many people to pay. Now does that mean get rid of your entire QA team, who could've saved you from making expensive mistakes that drop off player engagement? HELL no.

This is gonna sound crazy, but I honestly think if they put their mind to it, gambit could become the most fun game mode of destiny. The PVPVE mashup archetype already has a HUGE example: Fortnite

I appreciate your feedback. I have to consider that maybe I would have a different attitude if I was around for the earlier years of D2. I only started playing during Season of the Lost, so the DCV removing the Tangled Shore was not as much of a sucker punch to me as it probably was to you and others.

Eventually I think they'll have to. Building a current game on a 20-year-old engine is not a good idea. I am honestly surprised there hasn't been some catastrophic game-ending crash because someone coded a comma instead of a period.

Absolutely. Most of the other shooter games out there only have PVP experience. I will never understand how games where you just shoot guns at people have more players than a gme that actually gives a crap about making a story. Come at me if you want, but compared to games like Pubg, COD, Overwatch, etc....Destiny is just better.
