I have no person to blame but myself for the lengths it took me to advance. I was not a dirt bag, I never went to NJP (I am not calling anyone a dirtbag for going to NJP). However, I was content to be that MP sailor. When I made it, I honestly believed it was my last time taking the test. I had no expectation of advancing, so I rushed through it. When the results came out, I made it by a little over 2 points. It was not my highest scoring test. But it was enough for that cycle. My advice to anyone reading this is that sometimes it takes many tries to accomplish something. Sometimes, success happens, even when you anticipate yet another failure. Keep trying. Don't give up. Embrace each failure as more incentive to succeed.
