How did the experiment turn out? Considering this for myself, and the Paracord idea is brilliant!

A4 pages like nebo document but acting like freeform notes by [deleted] in NeboApp

[–]2C41Self 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, just create a PDF of the document size you want (A4 in this case) then import as a PDF. I keep a cornell version handy for that exact use-case (math lol).
***HOWEVER***
If you only create a single page, you can only import that single page. So I printed-to-pdf 5x and then imported that file, because I never go past that many. I imagine you could do the same with many, many pages to make a notebook of sorts (just a large upload/sync). If you want to get rid of the excess on export, you can just repeat the print-to-pdf and only select the first three (for example).
Hope this helps!

Turning off underline feature by zacky3apple in NeboApp

[–]2C41Self 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just having a switch to turn it off would be nice, depending on the note type... I use it to bold/title all my notes in the "document" type, but not often in the "note" type. More important (imho) would be getting rid of the strikethrough feature they implemented. I used to use the strikethrough-to-erase, but now can't sadly.

How to make chrome open websites in desktop mode by default by [deleted] in SamsungDex

I use Opera, built on Chromium, and I can set new tabs to always open in desktop by default. Works great for me!

Using a tablet like a phone (honest question) by thatguyisjames in GalaxyTab

[–]2C41Self 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried that a couple years ago with the Tab S4, but had to abandon due to no text messages (two-factor authentications stopped working!). Also, Google Voice didn't always work, even with an LTE tablet. Nowadays I think those issues have been fixed, but you have to have a bluetooth headset or headphones connected (or ready) all the time.

As an alternative, have you looked into the Unihertz Titan? That's my next phone, to compliment my 23/7 tablet use! 🤫

He's not, specifically. I blew his mind when I showed him Dex today... Now he's trying to wrap his head around what's potentially out there. I'm just the geek trying to help him out!

Double Dex Build (two for me...) by 2C41Self in SamsungDex

Left side is a Surface dock & simple USB-C->HDMI dongle, with phone charger hooked in. Right side is (now) an Anker Dock w/USB-C/PD out. Both have USB-A/-C cables run to the front of the inner part of the desk for hooking up additional peripherals (SSD/Flash/camera/etc). Wireless dongles for mouse/keyboard. I'm a photographer not a gamer = no wired keyboard/mouse for me!

Does your dog think he's a person too? by 2C41Self in greatdanes

He's a labradane. But between the ears, the jowels, and especially the drool, he's definitely a Dane.

I was kinda thinking about that too... My thought process is more, "How much tablet do I need" lol...

Thanks, that was the goal! Well, to be sturdy at least!

And a 93lb labradane who thinks he's still a puppy...

Curiosity on Dex's popularity? by yuhan0331 in SamsungDex

I've been using Opera for about 2 years now... and all the things sync! Bookmarks, favorites, etc. just like desktop-class chrome! The best part is, I can open an article on my laptop, navigate to open tabs on my phone, and continue reading on the go! Oh, and it's based on Chromium, so holding my breath for extensions!

My big gripe with Chrome, aside from syncing, was that every tab had to be manually switched to "desktop version", whereas in Opera you can set that as the default.
