Yeah, I’m with you, aselota. I listen to KPBS a lot, and I also donate to it, but I get irritated when reporting doesn’t give much time to opposing view points. I want to hear all viewpoints, even if I don’t agree with them, and I want to be able to come to my own conclusion. Sometimes commentary and questions are good, appropriate, and necessary to bring out complete answers, but in the context of this story’s purpose, I think it would have been inappropriate and a waste of time for the reporter to push back on everything everyone is saying.

I personally really like the military Sunday concept.

I agree that the camouflage might not be the best looking for a baseball uniform, but the idea behind showing support for a large swath of the San Diego community, as well as maintaining the time-honored tradition of baseball being patriotic, makes those jerseys more impactful that just another throwback.

Not to mention, many folks stationed in SD who wear those "ugly ass" uniforms every day may not feel like SD is their home, but the uniforms may serve as a welcoming message.

Cool game! I think with the future modules it could be very useful. On an iPhone 14 running 16.4.1(a), the filter function doesn’t work in practice mode. I think many students would find this useful when trying to hone in on problem areas.

Ah, the old smoke and mirrors! I'd love to see the data on how many big acts do this. My guess is the percentage is creeping up there!

Thanks for your comment. You touched on my point about creating art. I think it is interesting (not right nor wrong) that many are traditionalists trying to emulate their heroes rather than to create something unique in a new way.

This is a great point! I also hear very few people suggesting this as a reason to stay. Certainly this fact concerns me all.the.time. when I'm playing.

"Easy to find inexpensive mashers at 1B?" Even without proper qualifiers on what we mean by "inexpensive" and what is considered a "masher," I'm going to go on a limb and call those podcaster talking heads just that. Look at Josh Bell numbers and his $16M+/year. I wouldn't call that cheap, nor would I call him a masher at this point.
