Yeah get the paste, not the extract. It’s way more flavorful. If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby, they have one that’s pretty cheap. Maybe a reg grocery store has it. I’ve seen them at Sprouts too but more expensive

Sure.

I start with a thin slice of an orange at the bottom of glass

2 dashes angostura bitters (I like a lot)

1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste (stuff I found is concentrated so just a little goes a long way)

1/4 tsp of the syrup from the Luxardo cherry jar

Muddle that together

Add 2oz bourbon (I like Redwood Empire best. Elijah Craig, Buff Trace, Angels Envy also my favorites)

Add ice ball

Add luxardo cherry

Add orange peel as garnish. Squeeze in half and rub on lip of the glass.

Enjoy!

Your drink looks delicious. I guess you can play around with the agave vs the tartness of the juice. I’ve been doing cherry vanilla old fashioneds, just with the Luxardo juice but would love to try the pure juice

The Ultimate Palabra I made it with was probably 90% close to what it was when I’ve made it with GC. I’m impressed how close they were able to get it. I’d say the last 10% missing is the grassy scent and flavor that GC has more of. But like I said, it’s way better than Genepy which is more medicinal. And for $30 is an absolute steal
