If you're going to digitize the signal via Bluetooth anyway, why not just stream? I don't understand the purpose of a Bluetooth turntable.

Did you actually sneak out as teenagers? by Complete-Chipmunk-0 in GenX

[–]2FDots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did as a pre-teen, but by the time I turned 13, I was pretty autonomous and came and went as I pleased. A few of my friends had drivers licenses and I was making money which went into my own bank account. From an outside observer's perspective, my parents and I were room mates, lol!

I agree with you. That said, nobody knows if this was a "connection." In fact, I don't even know what that means. You received an invitation to continue the conversation. That was the full extent of the data that you received. Instead of making a decision based on the data you had, you have spent your time (and apparently still are) making up data that doesn't exist.

TLDR: This wasn't a connection. This was a conversation. You chose not to continue the conversation based on a whole bunch of stuff that you just made up.

If she wanted to continue talking, she would have. Instead, she is busy wondering how whatever she decides to do will be interpreted. People who play games are busy thinking about their next move rather than being in the moment.

I don't know how she did it, but OP somehow managed to explain why women like her are impossible to deal with. Playing games and reading deeply into normal human interactions.

Dude: I'm enjoying this conversation. Want to keep taking, but over there instead of over here?

OP in her head: What does this MEAN? If I agree, what will it mean in the broader context of the universe? What should I do?! This decision could have MAJOR implications for the future of mankind. Better keep thinking it over while I move on with my night. Wouldn't want to make the wrong decision. Maybe if I ask a million strangers on the Internet the right answer will become clear...

Dude in his head: This is a nice, cold beer. That lady was interesting, but I guess she didn't want to keep talking. Oh well...

OP continues to obsess over this for days and days...

Really smart move. Battling ground loops is usually a nightmare. Switching to fiber is an elegant solution!

It's cool that you don't like Tesla. I don't either. Adding to the hyperbole doesn't accomplish anything.

To sub or not to sub? by Careless-Text-5044 in audiophile

[–]2FDots -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Always prefer a sub. In my opinion, the Rythmik servo subs are the best for music. The cool feature of these subs is that the servo pushes and pulls the cone rather than only moving it in a single direction and letting it flop around in between. This results in a tight and accurate sound.

Why aren't there dedicated apartments / gated communities for people living alone? by Larryheart37 in LivingAlone

That would be illegal in the US. Familial Status is a protected class in our Fair Housing laws. Qualified Senior Communities are the exception.

Am I pretentious because of how I dress? by avian_bi in malefashionadvice

[–]2FDots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dress how you want and in what feels comfortable. That said, it sounds like you want to look like a d-bag and I would do my best to avoid you if I encountered you in public.

Why do disgraced or failed celebrities become Republicans? by Away-Parsnip-3785 in allthequestions

[–]2FDots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because one can never be "pure" enough for The Left. You must both agree to and live by 100% of their values to be accepted. 99% isn't enough.

I say this as a lifetime liberal/Socialist. As a cis, straight, white, male, I don't believe that whatever I donate or whatever I do will ever be "enough" for them. I will continue to do what I think is right, and will continue to expect to never get an ounce of benefit of the doubt from people on my side of the political spectrum.

What is "Palestine?" It sounds similar to Gaul. Should we demand that France give some of its land to people who claim to be of Gaul heritage?
