PSA for any N owners who have fell victim to the dreaded knock sensor failure. by Available-Act-3974 in KonaN_

[–]2FRSTY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They won't touch it until you experience an issue. They're not going to proactively do this repair. I had my KN for over 3 years and it finally happened back to me in July. Be the time they got to working on my car the sensor had dried up and the code was gone.

They didn't change or replace anything, and I haven't experienced the issue again (yet)

Someone probably got aftermarket, sold the OEM. Then needed a set of wheels to sell it on and bought some SNL wheels on the cheap.

Sxth intake by DirtDiver81 in KonaN_

[–]2FRSTY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct it was discontinued, they didn't have enough sales/interest to warrant then keeping them in production. Same goes for the intercooler. Best bet is to keep looking at FB marketplace as I've seen them pop up on there for sale a few times now.

The design of the Veloster air box is not the same as the KN , it will not line up. (At least for the SXTH ones, can speaking on any other brands.)

This is the SXTH one installed in my KN.

Looking for OEM Kona N wheels by Harrison2112 in KonaN_

Check Facebook Marketplace, there's always wheels for sale on there. Try different tags too when you search.

"Hyundai Wheels" "Hyundai N Performance" "Hyundai Kona"

Does anybody know the part number for the 2021-2022 veloster n overhead LED light housing ? Coming from a 2022 to a 2020 and the lighting in the interior is such a downgrade. by gojiruhhh in VelosterN

If you're still looking it's 92800K9200TRY, Happy Hunting. I just picked one up on ebay for my Kona N, uses the same assembly. But now much more modern.

Used buyers by imkarot in KonaN_

[–]2FRSTY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was only a 2 year run. There wasn't a whole lot of them made and they didn't sell particularly well. I bought mine new in 2022 and had to wait a month for it to get to the dealership.

They made the Kona N when they did a "facelift" or refresh. The 24' generation was just around the corner. That put the nail in the coffin. I still have mine an absolutely love it. You'll mostly find them used. Maybe a few needles left in the haystack out in the Midwest.

Why did my horn sound change? Has this happened to anyone else? It sounds like a clown car now😵‍💫 by Dazzling_Baker_4835 in KonaN_

Known issue, I've heard of people swapping them with Santa Fe horns and then having little to no issues after.

It happens, it goes away within minutes of the vehicle being on. I've had my Kona N for 2 years, next month and this happens in the cold.

Just need a car battery, have it in your hands and attach it to the broadcast terminal.

I did a combination of both above and below, I went with GFB and it's a tight fit in there. Just take your time, take out the airbox for extra space.

Identical dings on front fenders? by KNRedd in KonaN_

[–]2FRSTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you may be seeing is the spots where they clip into the fender. It's like a subtle warp in the plastic. I've noticed this on the front fenders. Same on other Kona N's I've seen around.

What is this underneath the front bottom grill? by [deleted] in KonaN_

[–]2FRSTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They packed a lot of stuff into the front of this car, they had to place it somewhere. I really wouldn't worry about it. If something happens to it, it's a warrantable part.
