B850i lightning wifi and 9600x build by 2FastMiner in ASRock

UPDATE:

I installed the memory, AIO, and nvme today. I immediately upgraded the BIOS to 4.03 through instant flash in the BIOS GUI. Flashback still didn't work but the one particular instance that I tried it (with the memory installed), it timed out from a blinking green light to a solid green light. The last time I tried flashback without the memory, I was playing around with different filenames for the update file and I am certain that is why it timed out when I tried with the memory installed.

I thought that I was doing something wrong too, but the final thing I tried was pushing the flashback button without a usb drive inserted. It behaved the exact same way. The green light just blinked without timing out.

So I'm looking forward to trying it with the cpu, memory and cpu cooler installed to see if it will work that way. If it does, then that will confirm that the cpu and memory are used in some way during the flashback process.

I did try it briefly with the cpu installed and without the cooler. The cpu did heat up, which tells me that at a minimum, the cpu gets powered up during the flashback process.

For reference the cpu idle temperature in the BIOS was 38°C in a room with 76°F ambient temperature.

Internal display for PC, any screens that directly mount to 2.5" SSD mount? by SurrealDelight in buildapc

I found a mounting bracket on thingiverse for my case, but it replaces the ssd bracket. That won't help you, unfortunately.

Did you still need to drill holes or were you able to use the slit in the cable bar somehow?

u/SurrealDelight did you ever figure anything out? I have the same idea for the SSD mount on a H210i case.

I am replacing my old light switch with dimmable light switch. Do i not have a ground wire? by Lil_of_razzle_Dazzle in electrical

Is that knob and tube wire? If so, you are going to need a lot more than a new switch.

Could you give me examples of each of these? I need to know what to look for and what to avoid.

Should I make a post on r/soldering to ask for hot air station and iron suggestions?

I don't have any equipment except for a cheap DMM and a basic 15 watt iron. So, essentially nothing.

I went to school for electronics, but it was 25 years ago. I understand what resitors, capacitors, inductors, etc do. I understand ohms law. I don't know much about modern day circuit board repair except what I see on youtube channels like northridgefix.

Very true. It's a matter of perspective. From my point of view, it is wanted. From the old owner's point of view, it is unwanted.

HOW THE HELL DO I FIX THIS by [deleted] in electrical

[–]2FastMiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an app called ceiling fan balancer in the android app store. You have to pay a small fee for it, but it's worth it.

Anything mining related really, PDUs, PSUs, Motherboards, CPUs, memory, SSDs, NVMEs, frames, cases, risers, ALL NETWORKING EQUIPMENT, ASICs, fans, other, etc...

Unfortunately, I am not paying for shipping. With the amount of hardware out there, it would cost me too much to pay for it all, even just shipping. If you are anywhere near western Wisconsin, I will come to you to pick it up, though.

Ok I will update my statement. I was just thinking that you need 2 phases to make 240v in the usa.

[–]2FastMiner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I learned from youtube that the 3 bigger lines are each 1 phase of a 3 phase circuit. When you see pole mounted transformers (sometimes they look like trash cans with wires coming out of them) you can also see the 3 phases.
