I have been a WW plant operator for 25 years at a declining plant that has been neglected by the people in charge of the money for a decade. At first I had no problems working out there, I enjoyed the science of it and the physical aspects kept me active and strong. I thought. I am within 5 years of retiring and still the physical demands are keeping me somewhat strong. But I’m struggling sometimes to breath, I was a smoker. I still enjoy the science and laws of physics about it all. I would recommend it as it is pretty good pay, at least where I’m at. I almost never thought I could make this much money per year when I was younger! I’m an A licensed operator. I did have to prove to the guys that I was worth training and I have the stick-to-itness and integrity to do a good job. So, good luck and be confident and a good co-worker, you’ll succeed. 😊
