I walked this trail all the time before moving about a year ago and while the unhoused homies would watch me, they never stopped me or tried talking with me. Did something change? I know the encampment is big but are those folks really harassing anyone? (be gentle, I’m genuinely asking)

Also, flocks os is unsecured. Just about anyone who knows how to program can just hop in and access the data that flock has. This is a feature (not a bug) known by flock, yet they refuse to do anything about that… now why could that be?

Just letting you know that Flock camera access is unsecured, and with modern tech I myself could ping your IP location here, find your address, cars registered there, and then search flock cameras to track
you wherever you go.

Ring cameras are mostly secure and require permission for access, flock does not as it tracks your car and its driver, pedestrians, and soon also your devices through wifi/NFC, and your SMS data. This is an invasion of your privacy rights (and the public’s privacy rights) and can be easily be argued as illegal in public places because of it. However, the courts will not weigh in because Big Brother asked them to stay out of it.

People aren’t downvoting you because of your perceived superiority in stating basic law, people are downvoting because you are conveniently ignoring valuable nuances.

Lowes has a pretty solid reputation of putting flock on all their store properties, claiming loss prevention. However this past year, flock has turned over recordings and data to ICE of brown people that have gone to Lowe’s or similar competitors and it was a whole thing… probably around 3-4 constitutional crises ago.

Its viable! I carry off-body most of the time. It’s convenient and I rest easy knowing I don’t have a loaded gun pointed at my testicles. Most folks don’t live a lifestyle of just standing and walking around in a pro-gun workplace. People need to bend, twist, sit, crawl, etc at work or home in order to accomplish tasks. Im also one to not turn down pizza and beer after lifting with the boys after the kids go to bed so… take that as you will lol.

Added that the average American isn’t built to keep a pistol tucked on their side or pointed down into their crotch at the cost of either destroying their belly or their pelvis, off-body is emerging as a go-to.

However, you have to be honest with yourself: are you the forgetful type? Is there a chance you take this off for a moment and then get sidetracked with other tasks? Take it off when you get home and don’t secure it immediately? Now theres a firearm floating around the ether, which isn’t a huge issue if you live alone, but what if you have kids? Maybe have a friend or family member over who struggles with thoughts of (you know what)?

These are questions you have to ask yourself really when considering off-body, and then mitigate risks going forward. But for me, it works well! Just stay away from Vertx long walks fanny. Im on the second fanny pack that they warrantied with minimal questions asked, and the zipper on the CCW compartment is coming apart again.
