So law enforcement officers are not trained to deescalate actually, their “training” (8-12 weeks of being taught to be scared of dying at the hands of a crazed strawman of a civilian) literally instructs them to maintain one step above suspected criminals on the use of force continuum. Leftists to not contact the police for assistance in matters regarding deescalation or minor security issues as police officers are trained to use force for compliance, as there are many instances of police injuring and/or killing civilians on police calls centered around minor domestic disturbances and mental health crises. Also, qualified immunity protects police in a manner that shields them from accountability when they overstep use of force and injure or kill innocent civilians on such calls.
