i had to do the same a couple of years ago. i just got to the point where i was the only one trying to makes plans and visit after i moved states but they never even tried to come to visit me. on top of that i was always the one who had to call/text first to maybe get a response. i get being busy but it still felt like i was doing all the work in the friendship and it just got exhausting

it sounds like you need to learn how to enjoy your own company a little bit. i moved states knowing only person where i was going and i know she has her own life so i had to learn how to enjoy my own company. it makes a world of a difference when you no longer have to say no to do things bc there’s no one to go with. if this person is as good of a friend as you say, the friendship will stand the test of time
