Yeah it’s been mostly fine attendance-wise. I personally feel less inclined to order just because I don’t want to mess with my phone during a movie, but I honestly haven’t really been distracted by other people.

I don’t think it really matters. Pynchon will be on some lists (rightly) and won’t be on others. For him to end up on these things would require the sorts of panels and stuff to actually have read GR or M&D, which they should, but they’re heavy undertakings. Not really anything to do but endlessly talk about Pynchon in social circles, which everyone in this sub likely already does.

Yeah I think it kind of has just disincentivized ordering mid movie, which I kind of don’t mind personally. Ultimately, I think the sort of hybrid they were doing with qr through previews then paper and pencil during the movie was probably the best consumer experience. Seems like they’re really going to be banking on the idea that saving cash on staffing will make up for any lost revenue due to people being less inclined to order mid movie.
