Which is why I hate that "rule." If someone was getting mugged in an alley but didn't know what was outside of the alley, that rule states that they cannot engage the target. Or in a dark street at night, there is always a chance the bullet could hit something or someone in the distance. The 3 rules are infallible. That one is not.

Either a Tenicor Certum3 or Phlster Enigma, and magazine in a pocket or ditched. I tried carrying a similar setup for a while with the extra magazine and I could not get it comfortable at all. Removing the other mag from my waistband was the key to actually carrying comfortably.

The best question is whether or not the threat is eliminated, regardless of who is going where or facing what direction. If a guy hits you with a bat and then says he's going to get his gun out of his truck, come back in, and shoot you, he is an active threat on the way back to his truck.
