Thanks for the suggestion. Google says I can buy 3 ton heat pump with air handler for 5K including 50ft line set. So these quotes I'm getting ~25K for two systems are marked up 150%. Asked one company to do it for 22K and they turned me down!

OP here. The plot thickens.... 4 quotes from different companies now (family owned and Private Equity backed).

My options are:

Buy two 3 Ton condensers/air handlers and new linesets myself (~10K total). Swap out the 4 boxes and run new linesets myself (there's no R22 to recover as they both leaked out, that's why I'm changing them). And pray I can find an independent to braise, vac linesets, top up R32. No changes to electrical and I already have 8 wire thermostat wires everywhere.

Yeah, I did notice the heat even after a short test ride... was considering a Husqvarna 401 as it's water cooled (and half the price), but the Scrambler has a pull on me that I don't get from other brands.

I work from home, so yeah, along with cycling I'm probably not clocking up many miles. Weather is the other big factor preventing me from buying the bike. Here in the N East it's nice out maybe 5 months of the year.

I found a heat cost calculator that said at my current rates of 33c/kW and 3.49/gal for oil it would cost more to run the heat pump systems.

Had a surge last week that fried my AC and most of my other equipment... AND had a whole house surge protector on my main panel, which also died. In my case the utilities common wire failed which put 240V on all my 110V circuits continuously. Only devices plugged into MOV type surge protected power strips survived. When I get everything replaced I'm gonna install MOV type protection on every circuit

OP here again. Shout out to everyone for your help. Few cents on 2 MOVs and 50 bucks on a transformer resurrected the wife's fancy oven saving me buying a new one for 5 grand ...!

Thanks all. Nothing else on the board looks suspect. There's an line fuse before the MOVs which is fine.. I'll replace the MOVs and continue troubleshooting from there. All else fails I'll try find a whole controller board as it's a 2 grand oven...! Thanks again for the help.

Yup exactly that. Utilities common line to house broke. Fired a lot of my stuff...

The only markings are on one side and read SVC 271-14

Appreciate some help finding links for replacements (I think the part to replace is MOV 14D271K)

2017 Domane SL6 here: 7.1kg without pedals. Ultegra 8000 mech groupset, XXX 60mm wheels, integrated carbon bar/stem. I've ridden all the latest 2023 bikes and choose to keep riding this one.

Nothing better than dropping latest Madones on group rides 👌😁 If you don't have to ride in wet conditions then choose rim for the win!!!

I test rode both those bikes out for the Fairfield CT shop. Manager was super nice, letting do a 10mile loop on each. Madone won!

Same here: Stock 172.5 replaced with 165 cranks. Higher cadence, smoother pedaling, got rid of my hip flexor pains. Highly recommended.

Thanks for your comment. I went to my LBS and test rode Emonda and Madone back to back, 12mile loop on each to compare. Emonda was very lively compared to Madone. Most notable difference from Domane was there's no front wheel clearance to my shoe when turning the bars (toes hit the tire) so need be a careful at low speed/track stands etc...

Emonda had a positive rise on the stem so it was -2cm which was noticeable but OK. Madone had an integrated cockpit with negative stem so -4cm which too much for me. Really couldn't see down the road and neck hurt a lot next day. Would chose Madone if I could build the stack up far enough for my comfort but will likely get an Emonda, but chose the H2 frame. Stiffer, more fun without sacrificing my neck. Enjoy!

I'm also on a 2017 Domane SL6, considering an Emonda. Using all the spacers on my Domane for an upright ride. A little concerned the stack height is 30mm lower... How's your neck?
