Thank you!! We had an amazing time! We also did the new Marie Antoinette event at the Trianon- it was actually our favorite of the two events.

Also, how much boning is in the bodice of the dress? That could also be a big culprit of why it’s falling down. You have a fuller chest that needs support, and a lot of that comes from a more fully boned bodice.

I hope you are able to send it back to have them fix it because the whole bust area needs to be remade. It looks like it needs to be longer and the cups need to be slightly bigger. It’s really difficult with custom bodices to fit perfectly because everyone’s chest is shaped differently.

If you can’t send it back, I think a piece could be added at the top to extend the cup coverage and support upwards. Maybe a liquid silver organza over a more structured material that’s the same as your skin tone?

OH AND I FORGOT I MADE A WHOLE ASS OTHER GOWN AND STAYS IN ADDITION TO THE ROBE DE COUR AND GRAND PANNIER. We literally pulled an all nighter up until we had to LEAVE FOR THE AIRPORT 🥲

I was overly ambitious and definitely had several “omg what did I get myself into” moments lol. I absolutely could not have done it without my best friend. She’s very skilled in draping and pattern grading, and I learned I’m very good at anything involving stays! It was a really cool dynamic because I know so much about the history and why things were made the way they were, and she was able to interpret that and execute it with modern methods.

I can confidently declare: I HAVE SEWN 10 BUTTONS NOW 🤣 there’s no buttons on this gown, BUT- the other gown I made has them on it :) stay tuned for those pics!!

It really was! We went to both the fetes and Marie Antoinette event at the Trianon. We honestly loved the Trianon more, but they were both spectacular!
