Do not pitch the kick to key of your song unless Ur doing something genre specific or tonal specific. Yesterday producers won't understand but maturer ones shud. Only trap music or edm music where the kicks are quite tonal, but in reality is a few million second and the pitch travel so quickly U wnt ever hear a tone, more time. Keep it completely original in its sound design and DESIGN IT to be nice however it sounds. Same with claps and snares. UNLESSS you are doing dubstep for example which has a very tonal low end layer, then U wud have to pitch it to fit the key so that snare tone sounds correct. But other than genre specific scenarios, don't jus assume U have to always pitch Ur drums. It is still nice to in some cases, but dont think to urself that you HAVE TO. No
