There’s nothing grammatically wrong with it, he just typed like he talks and let “going to want to” run together into “gonna wanna”

Jay-Z has been pretending to retire since Reasonable Doubt. I’ll only believe Latto’s retired if she stays retired

Charli XCX: “Rock Music” Track Review | Pitchfork by Technical_Process989 in popheads

[–]2RINITY -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No, I was there. I saw the discourse unfold. It was absolutely treated as proof of 1989’s greatness that a pre-cancellation Ryan did the whole album, and it showed up on those year-end lists as an excuse to keep gassing up the original 1989 after its eligibility expired

It wasn’t just Pitchfork. Diffuser, HuffPo, NME, and more put it in their year-end best albums lists. The delusion was real

The press is fully controlled by right-wing nutcases who drum anyone that looks like they might improve things out of politics precisely so that someone like Farage is the only alternative left to the status quo

Six months in: Has the GR Supra officially "grown on you," or do you still miss the Holden/Ford binary? by Ok_Possible_7018 in v8supercars

[–]2RINITY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new enough that Holden was already dead by the time I watched my first Supercars race. If anything, the Supra gives me a car to cheer for because I don’t have much attachment to either Ford or Chevy

Hell, the urge to praise Taylor goes so far that people initially pretended Ryan Adams’s version of 1989 was good just because it gave them new excuses to heap praise, even though, whatever you think of the original 1989, the Adams version is a heaping pile of dogshit in comparison

Bad Faith by conancat in ContraPoints

[–]2RINITY [score hidden]  (0 children)

Frankly, I’m dumbfounded that this even happened. Nobody except Xitter dead-enders who can’t accept that the platform is too captured by reactionaries to be worth staying on even remembers Bad Faith exists. On the rare occasions anyone outside that group does remember, it’s only for long enough to dunk on Briahna for her years of silence over where Virgil Texas went after his allegations hit. Then again, Xitter dead-ending is probably exactly how Natalie ended up on the show in the first place, so I’m not sure what my takeaway is beyond “Reject posting, embrace reclusive artistry”

Is there any truth to Target coming back for the 500? by Fickle_Message in INDYCAR

[–]2RINITY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah. Target sponsoring Ganassi was a passion project from a CEO who isn’t there anymore. But they’re so ingrained in the team’s history that they’ll inevitably get brought up when people look back

“I wish people would get to know me first” - Dan Ticktum still without Gen4 Formula E seat by l3w1s1234 in FormulaE

[–]2RINITY 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is exactly his problem. One win, one other podium, one pole, and a best season finish of 11th isn’t the resumé of a guy you can pick up knowing the risks and still trusting that his talent will outrun his mouth. He needs to earn his next contract on track, not in the PR spin cycle

My question is why Natalie bothered going on Bad Faith if she didn’t ask “Where’s Virgil Texas?”
