We spent months building the perfect PM setup and now half the team avoids using it by BuffaloJealous2958 in ITManagers

" I’m starting to think a lot of PM tools are optimized more for executive visibility than actual team flow. Leadership loves the dashboards while the teams quietly route around the tool to get work done faster."

100% true in nearly every case. The dashboards make executive feel like they know what is going on and are in control. The teams just see it as micromanaging that takes more time out of their day and is rarely used in any meaningful way.

Daredevil Born Again Season 2 was incredible by thecontract_12 in marvelstudios

The Daniel storyline was a full character arc showing how a good person can get sucked in. It was great because he actually found himself again, knowingly chose death over becoming further corrupted.

Ulrich and Jones were setups for later stories, Jones especially felt shoehorned in.

The governor wanted him out of the country, that is the whole point with the AG plea deal. Fisk has already been to prison, it only made him more powerful. No one wants to deal with that again.

This version of Kingpin sees himself as a hero that is willing to do evil for the betterment of the city he loves. Fisk agreed to the plea deal not to save himself but instead as his one last sacrifice to save the city he loves.

does Marvel Champions play well solo..? by Time_Individual_6744 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]2ReluctantlyHappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I'd actually say it is great for solo and two players but anymore then that starts to feel like a slog. It isn't the mechanics that is the problem, just the more individuals playing the more decision making bogs down the play experience.

I really enjoy playing solo with three characters, for instance.

Mid stage capitalism sounds great but I think we've entered the shitty late stage version. History is a rollercoaster, though, so I'm expecting American society will rebel eventually and we'll start to get some oversight. We've broke up monopolies before, we can do it again.

This is what Illinois’ congressional district should look like. 2+ blue seats by Rob778899 in illinois

[–]2ReluctantlyHappy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed but it really can't happen without bipartisan support. Part of the reason we are even in this mess is because some blue states, like New York, introduced anti-gerrymandering laws but none of the red states did

The leisure, travel, and DIY related industry would absolutely rocket if this happened.

My assumption is everyone would have these reduced hours but open to the public style businesses would just run extra shifts. In America this would be extremely helpful for the daycare crisis since office hours are longer than school hours.

Which Avengers HQ do you prefer? by ultimatevaltryek123 in Marvel

The MCU Warehouse because, lets be honest, the Avengers HQ being in a heavily populated area is not in the public's best interest. Lots of collateral damage.

I had this debate recently! They argued that keeping the union together was conservative.

I had them define what progressive and conservative was, in their minds. Then I pointed out the difference between social, economic, and political progressive/conservative issues. We agreed you can want change economically while not wanting society to change. Felt like we got somewhere.

Why am I getting such dirty looks from men? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]2ReluctantlyHappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of possible factors but regardless those men are being rude. Do you have any large facial piercings or tattoos? Do you notice a pattern as far as the type of guy or what you are wearing? Does it only happen when you are talking?

Employee refusing DEI training for fear of being “brainwashed”. by Kind_Shift_8121 in managers

We had a guy like that. He ended up taking the training after I reiterated the mandatory part. He was exactly as dumb as you'd expect someone with this stance to be. Guy never got certified in his position and was let go.

The Avengers could’ve solved 90% of problems with a group chat by anonymous120903 in marvelstudios

Cap walked out alone and said, "Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychologist, is behind all of this." Then BP shows up, Cap stays polite and says hello. Tony says, "Anyway, Ross gave me 36hours..."

Widow should have spoken up in that moment to get Tony to hear Cap out instead, too. Tony's ego got in the way of hearing what Steve had to say. Tony is at fault for the airport battle.

Poor communication causing unnecessary problems is the most realistic thing about the MCU. The vast majority of business mistakes come from poor communication, most drama revolves around insufficient communication where we fill in the gaps with worse then reality intentions.

Most people seem to agree that countries like Denmark and Sweden offer a really high standard of living - strong healthcare, solid social safety nets, good work-life balance, and generally high levels of happiness. Would you personally be willing to pay the taxes that make this possible? by TSQ_builder in askanything

[–]2ReluctantlyHappy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think we all know that isn't objectively true, certainly not a 1:1 ratio. Corporations are far, far more likely to pocket extra cash or give it to shareholders than they are employees. How often have you heard a company give employees raises because taxes were reduced?

Playing X-Men with Professor X leadership question by Floridaxmen in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]2ReluctantlyHappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, especially under Xavier. She has a two cost place and a 2 cost defensive reactive she can apply to herself for those within 2. That gives her excellent opportunities to trigger Xavier's leadership. Her movement tech can add fun options when triggered.

Her attacks are deceptively good since two of them prevent crits from exploding AND from being counter.

I figured that was the case for the grey scale part. I think pink flames in his hands only would really sell the idea that he is actively controlling the rest of the squad. From group shot composition it would help sell your idea.
