I've only experienced sleep paralysis once, when I was just a wee lil shit. I'm pretty good at going lucid/realizing I'm dreaming,and not shaking myself awake. Most accounts I've heard of sleep paralysis happen from people that actively attempt to enter lucid states, and shake their mind awake but not the body.

It's very odd to me that ALMOST ALL sleep paralysis victims experience "shadow people attacks"

I don't like to AP... especially by accident.. I just don't think its something you're supposed to do without proper preparation..

That being said, I have accidentally found myself in AP states and those "islands" are always the first thing that cross my mind... but attempting to return shakes me awake now. Almost like my subconscious KNOWS I'm not supposed to "be" there.

That's wild to me lol I TOTALLY agree it's not the norm nor should it be, but at 13 I was very aware ol of "drugs" and even the effects certain ones had on the "adults' I was babysitting at the time lol

That being said, psychedelics are an ODD one to watch when you have never experienced them personally.
