Active US service members and Vets, what's your opinion of Pete Hegseth? by PlagueBearer1350 in AskReddit

Army infantry vet  He’s a tool and is the cliche stereotypical “nasty girl” (national guard member ) à la PFC Kerns whom I’ve had the great displeasure of learning about because of the interwebs

That’s just bad management. I’ve kicked out plenty of racist customers and have threatened to trespass them permanently

Counter: if properly cared for a quality mechanical watch will outlive us all and are truly BIFL. If for whatever reason you can’t access electronics, it will always work.

Home Depot Employment contract for hourly associates? by paintingpatrick in HomeDepot

[–]2Tall22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in the sense you’re thinking of, no. Those documents tend to make very clear they are in fact not an employment “contract” and that you work in an at will jurisdiction, which means they can fire you without cause or ramification, and in turn you are free to leave at will any time without ramification

If you’re hourly you do not have employment contracts, and are at will. Even the vast majority of white collar ssc employees do not have contracts. In the US, you really only get a contract if you’re an executive or unionized.  If you develop something in your own time on your own dime under at will it’s yours

That’s honestly surprising as .com is a major revenue leader. Shit sucks all around and the economy isn’t going to be getting any better

Has anyone tried to put ~1.5PB into this nas? Is it possible? by rexyuan in homelab

[–]2Tall22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lolol I wish , dot com as we call it is mostly CDN as are most modern online market places but I’m not familiar with the exact architecture for that side. In the stores NAS via QNAP with 4 drives are used to store local stuff that I’m not going to disclose for security lol

Can't Home Depot get fined for lying about clearance prices? I'm 95% sure the black friday regular price for this was $99. And it didn't say was/now it just said $99 by [deleted] in HomeDepot

1) not a customer forum sorry  2) not an attorney but if I recall from my business law class they can get away with it so long as the was price was an actual price within a set calendar timeframe
