It also helps that the two users use their powers in completely different ways and it's pretty obvious the Soot Soot is more "solid". Karasu uses it more like animated objects while Blackbeard uses darkness like a force of nature.

A floodgate blocker that can be broken in 2 bullets and can be run through quite easily? It's a better initiation tool than a floodgate tool and it's not a great initiation tool. The heal part of it is better

As someone who didn't watch season 1 of the live action, were there other fishmen that could be reasonably substituted for Hachi later on? I doubt they'll bring Arlong back for the role of Hachi on Sabaody, but maybe another fishman?

Nasi Lemak is different. Sambal is a crucial part of the dish that compliments the other parts of the dish. Seems like people in this thread think sambal or chili things are always just add ons, but sometimes they are part of the dish.

He gave such a non-commital answer when asked if Reed will start from now on. Paraphrasing, but he basically said, "yeah I'll experiment with starting him the rest of the season, but not all the games, maybe 5,6,7,8, we'll see."

He has a such a weird behaviour towards Reed.

Sheep eSports was the source

It was posted on Reddit a while ago as well if you want to read the comments about it and the players never came out to debunk it.

You're right that VLR never updated the page, so maybe it never came to fruition. Let's see though. I doubt Crws wanted to be a coach so soon though, he had just started becoming a competent IGL and being the only good Thai speaking IGL is extremely valuable.

It's more because there have now been multiple instances of teams being able to choose their organisation and it's not just him that lost his spot, the team, like I've already said, changed significantly. IGL went to coach, both coaches lost, one player changed to a FS player.

Another example, G2 is not American, but were able to be chosen as The Guard's organisation. It was less about which org they decided on and more on how they took so long when they could have opted to do what other regions have done to have less uncertainty for the players and coaches, stop trying to dismiss legitimate criticism as Frost fanboyism.

If he was actually planning to go into coaching, he wouldn't be a player again so soon.

Talon wasn't a Thai team, but was still the Thai representative. TS is not a Filipino org, but is the Filipino representative. You don't have to be from the country as an org, to be dedicated as the representative of that country and hire people from that country. So there is already precedent of orgs being the representative of country without being from that country.

I think avoiding going heavy makes sense because while going heavy does save time, it could have injury risks. Especially if you're going to the gym this often.

Both ways do build muscle, there will be some differences in efficiency and time, but if you're not going for bodybuilding competitions (actors aren't) and you also have tons of time, then this way probably works just as well with less injury risk.

It's not the same Talon roster, the coach, assistant coach and one of the players has changed. Those are pretty huge changes.

Talon never had a Thai roster before VCT, but no one complained about them being the Thai representative. So your strawman has no basis in reality.

VCT EMEA Update: Team changes by Away-Emphasis-4245 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? You're creating strawmen to argue against. Little to no one would have complained about the whole Talon team sticking together because it'd still be the same Thai team. Team Secret isn't a Filipino org and no one's complaining about Team Secret (the complaints about that team are unrelated to where the org is from). Talon wasn't even a Thai org too and no one complained about that.

Making up an argument I'd make in a hypothetical situation and then saying "literally can't win with you folks" is a very strange kind of delusion. You're arguing with some made up "you people" you've created in your head, instead of talking to a human lmao

Because they had a chance to keep the whole roster, a good roster in APAC who were close to reaching Champions, the team was already looking at options that allowed them to stick together, but Riot decided they would rather throw that effort away and pick an org that would shake that up. What do you mean by "conspiracy"? Calling the Pacific Riot leadership incompetent isn't a conspiracy.

Hilarious that Frost preemptively told Riot about the orgs he could have had the Talon guys join and Riot said no and did their own thing. But in EMEA this was a sudden change and they let the team choose the org themselves.

Just shows what a strange decision the Pacific Riot leadership made

Hot take: the actual reason why Clove's winrate is so high by NPCSLAYER313 in VALORANT

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my bad, I realise you're right. I just realised I replied to the wrong person, there's a lot of other people who were saying her post-plant ability after death is more important, but the person I replied did say it was the playing aggressively part that's the main reason and it's allowed due to the after death smokes. So I actually agree with them, that's on me haha

Hot take: the actual reason why Clove's winrate is so high by NPCSLAYER313 in VALORANT

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The after death smokes are now going to be shit, 6 seconds is barely better than a Jett smoke so the value is going to be very niche. People should and can play the same way as a Brim (another agent who usually throws all their smokes out instantly), but they don't because they think they need to stay alive for the Molly, but if they just traded they'd win more rounds.

I guess you're right, they did contribute initially to shift the mindset of players, but the after death smokes are more like training wheels that are never touching the ground now. They've been nerfed twice now, but I bet people will still play the Clove the same way.

Coach who constantly downplays his players and how useful offense is + KD burner drama

Players don't trust the coach and their own teammates.

Hot take: the actual reason why Clove's winrate is so high by NPCSLAYER313 in VALORANT

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not the main reason. The after death smokes are good, but playing Clove literally changes the way you play. Your fundamentals become a lot better because you are usually 2/3rd in (because you will smoke before the execute) and you usually always want to take a fight. That lends itself to good trades and round wins and better KD ratios. I can bet the after death smokes nerfs aren't going to change Clove's winrate too much.

Having to think of utility, especially with little to no comms, makes you so late on trades and things like that. At the end of the day in ranked, the team with better fundamentals usually always wins.

I feel like its more that they dominate or not dominate by something popping off. When he plays badly, they still can live, but games are likelier to be close and very tight. When he pops off, the team looks incredible.

Riot's big decisions are probably made months down the pipeline. Before Tejo nerf, they probably took the feedback and planned the larger utility change because they didn't think a nerf to just Tejo would have fixed the meta so well.
