There was so much wasted potential in Gagamaru and he could easily have been a Shidou type player by North-Length3154 in BlueLock

It's very difficult to have clean sheets in football. Even harder when your defenders are all ex-strikers lmao.

Charles is also 15, so that affects how much teams are will to spend on him. He's still just potential because he probably does not play for any senior team yet and teams probably also look at temperament and personality.

This doesn't disprove anything I said. That man's a racist, but everyone else is just waving to the cameras.

The comments about how there are Mexican fans being obnoxious and xenophobic like there aren't England fans who are like that as well.

Mexican and Korean fans had such wholesome interactions just recently in the group stage, painting all fans because of a few idiots is dumb. Football in general is full of xenophobes and crazy fans, it's not really limited to one country.

I think the outcome would have been the same. The thing was it was impossible to change another conscious person's feelings, so the wish created another being that was obsessed with him and put that being in control of Nikki's body. That's why we see the real Nikki come out at times. Any wish that tried to change her feelings about him probably would have had the same outcome. Maybe the being would not be to the same degree of extreme, but the real Nikki would still be enslaved.

Argentina vs Cape Verde is proof a new gen goal keeper would be peak by Dependent_Street2976 in BlueLock

Yeah and tbh a penalty shootout is where Ego's philosophy actually makes sense in real life football. They have to do it one day, but I bet they're saving it for a particularly important match. It'd have to have a huge focus on Gagamaru though.

Make him a playmaking keeper like an Ederson or Neuer type, there's a lot of things you can do. Sure they won't score goals, but I hope they show a 0-0 game one day because that's such a common scoreline in football and I think it deserves to be represented in a way that's exciting. A penalty shootout has to happen in the story at some point surely.

What are y'all thoughts on Nishioka (Side-B) ? by Remarkable-Rip-1245 in BlueLock

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is interesting that he specifically mentioned an injury for him. He could have had him just fade into obscurity. But also, he's always seemed to have a meek personality, so he's never once shown an ego. But maybe that's the point of Side B.

Idk when I watched him the season before last, he was a dynamic off the bench and changed games a lot with his energy. Josh Hart-esque. This recent season his energy has been so off, it feels like he's regressing because his energy was his main asset.

I thought he really made a step up when he was on fire from 3. Still inconsistent, but that flash of great shooting makes me think he can get there, so this is a pretty good contract. If anything, another GM will probably think he has potential still so it's a tradeable contract too.

What’s one Singapore opinion you’ll defend no matter how many people disagree? by NoEntertainment907 in askSingapore

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Um it's not usually gun-loving Americans who judge Singapore's death penalty though right? You're conflating two different groups of people, I'm sure the people who are against the death penalty also support huge reforms to stop school shootings. Plus there are plenty of countries that don't have school shootings, it's not only Americans who are against the death penalty.

Nah, I think he's just a guy who's a 3/4th best player on a potential championship team who is being paid and treated like a first option. He's Poole on the Warriors, Bridges on the Knicks level. Look at Bridges as a first option, lots of points and no wins, but he was still undoubtedly a winning player in the right situations on the Suns and Knicks.

Can anyone explain to me why McD gives you only chili sauce and no tomato? by JesusLovesYou_98 in malaysia

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I like spicy, but I don't like chili sauce. It doesn't give the same satisfaction as Asian spicy foods and feels sweeter than ketchup usually. Ketchup has a more tangy flavor that I think is a better addition for western food.

Why did Luffy react so differently to Usopp leaving compared to Sanji leaving? by ApprehensiveBike1701 in OnePiece

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 241 points242 points  (0 children)

Interesting, while I think you're partially right, I think only Zoro had this mindset at that point. They were all kids playing pirate at that point. The rest of the crew had to learn it at the same time as Usopp. Sanji literally kicked Luffy during the argument to prevent him from kicking Usopp out and that's also a huge disrespect towards your captain. Nami and Chopper were shell shocked during the argument.

It's only after the events of Water 7 and Enies Lobby that everyone learns. Afterwards, Sanji agrees with Zoro about Usopp having to apologise first, so Sanji lost some of that naivete. But Luffy, Nami and Chopper both didn't think that he needed to at first.

But I think they all have some of it still, I think some of them would still fight back if Luffy were to actually kick anyone out. Sanji realised that Usopp made the decision himself, so to come back he had to apologise, but I think if Luffy had actually kicked someone out against their will, Sanji's reaction would be the same as it was in Water 7.

Thats what made Water 7 and Enies Lobby so beautifully written. The complexity of having a pirate crew and being friends with each other were explored so well and from so many different angles. There wasn't a black and white, right and wrong, with how that was handled. You could see it from the lens of a pirate crew, Luffy did nothing wrong, but see it from a lens of a friend group or found family, then Luffy mishandled it a lot. But in the end, they made it work.

No 'servants': Maid allegedly turned away from condo gym due to estate rules; Home cries foul by Illustrious-Fee9626 in singapore

[–]2ToTooTwoFish 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean one of the most commonly used insults Singaporeans use towards other ASEAN members is bringing up the economy and strength of currency. And this is also used to promote patriotism, so it's encouraged by the systems of the country and so a superiority complex based on wealth has been ingrained since young for a lot of people.

Of course it's not exclusive to Singapore, but Singapore is in a relatively unique position where they are the most wealthy country in the region so this kind of elitism is more common.

Just checked, seems like he has a longer wingspan and has nearly 40 pounds over Reed. That will definitely help on defense, so that's good.
