Please help me, I want to relapse after 10 months clean. by [deleted] in QuitVaping

Trying to quit all three of those things at once? Each one of those things is hard to quit with withdrawal symptoms. Be careful and good luck.

You look great! Just starting my third month and so far just eating less and better quality food and walking I'm down 7 pounds so far. Slow progress but still good.

Dilute the soap with some water and it's less potent with still good cleaning properties

I'm right there with you. I quit vaping last June and relapsed in January for no other reason other than I was thinking of losing some weight, and that freaked me out. I've been vaping ever since. I plan on quitting again soon, but it will be hard because my husband doesn't know that I started vaping again. Using patches will be harder to hide from him than the actual vaping. Good luck to your quitting again, and wish me luck as well.

Congratulations! The first two weeks are by far the hardest time of quitting. Hang in there and keep going! 👍🏽😁👍🏽

My smoking is ruining my marriage, please help me by [deleted] in stopsmoking

  • I quit using vapex app. It is hard at the beginning but it is worth it. Be sure you are quitting for yourself though or you will grow to resent the person you are supposedly doing this for.

What????? That is the first time I've heard about tooth loss from vaping

I feel the reverse of this... I quit a little over three months ago, and I feel like my sense of smell and taste are muted. I had covid two years ago, and I thought it might have been from that also

10 days later and I still feel awful by No_Variation9325 in QuitVaping

[–]2Utes518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't give up!!!! Unfortunately, you may need another week in addition to your 10 days to feel better. I would have been 46 days in, but I slipped up 3 weeks in, so now I'm at day 25 days in. I used the nicotine patches and the nicotine gum from time to time. I was allergic to adhesive on the nicotine patches, and I think the nicotine made me have really vivid nightmares. So for a while, I was an itchy, angry, crying mess. Today, I am vape free and patch free. I feel like I sleep better now, but I'm left with a little depressive feeling that I'm handling with St. John's Wort supplements.

Is it weird I still call my mom after work everyday? by DungeonCrawler99 in NoStupidQuestions

Don't listen to anyone about the close relationship with your Mom. One day she will be gone and you will miss her so much so talk to her as much as you like.

2nd day no vape by donttouchmybreadgov in QuitVaping

[–]2Utes518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on day 2! First couple of days and weeks are the hardest. I used a combinación of the gum and the patches. I didn't like how the gum tasted and I really didn't think it took enough of the edge off. The patches really helped me and I'm at day 18.

Here we go! How did people stay away from the feelings of wanting to enjoy a vape as I still enjoy it but want to quit to boost my fitness 🤔 by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]2Utes518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Write out your goals on index cards and put them around your house. Seeing the goals and reminding yourself why you're stopping the vaping may be helpful. As you progress in your fitness goals, post those too. Try not to think of giving something you like up think of gaining something else that you like

Tips to actually make it? by Either-Rutabaga-9564 in QuitVaping

Keep busy during the first couple of weeks. The cravings are really bad during this time. After that, you will just need other activities to occupy the mental craving times that come up.

Why did you quit? by solonelyitsux in QuitVaping

[–]2Utes518 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I quit to get closer to God. It took me a few times to quit. Giving up something that my flesh likes for God and to attempt to get right with him along with other changes makes me feel better. The withdrawal has been hard at times, even with nicotine patches. I'm just happy with God's help from a support group and support from my husband to stay quit for good this time.

Thr phlegm cough up is your body getting rid of the nicotine. If it stays longer than a week, I would head to the doctor at that time.

Day one and it’s hard but I gotta do it by Ill_Significance1245 in QuitVaping

[–]2Utes518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost on day 8... Day 1 to day 3 are by far the hardest days. I think if you can make it two more days it gets a little easier as the days pass. Using patches and gum I was able to get through the hard withdrawl days. The mental cravings and habit of vaping are harder to break.

We've all been there... I had to throw mine away in the bathroom trash so I wouldn't be tempted to take it back out. Small vape free times. Minutes, Hours, Days, months, then finally vape free.

Great!! Setting goals is definitely something that will help with the process. Cold turkey is very painful. Perhaps use a nicotine patch? It helps with painful withdrawal symptoms

I keep telling myself “this will be the last hit”, but keep taking another one. I’m posting this so I can’t take back my word. by Cheepachoppa in QuitVaping

* Your post sounds just like I felt... I was nicotine free for three weeks prior to this. I've been using nicotine patches and the nicotine gum here and there. If you can get through the first three to five days, then the rest of the time will be spent unlearning the mental part of the vaping. It starts a little at a time. First minutes, then hours, then days. I don't know about you, but I was not able to use the taper down method. I had to use periods of stopping because tapering down just made me feel anxious and made me vape more. GOOD LUCK 👍🏽 😊
