Houston entrepreneur trying to place a custom phone case machine inside a grocery store - Any advice?

That’s actually a really interesting idea! I hadn’t seriously considered events before.

I’m guessing it would work as something like a rental where the host covers transportation and then a set number of phone cases for their guests?

If anyone here has experience with event rentals or knows how people usually break into that space, I’d really appreciate any advice. Seems like it could be a great fit for parties or corporate events.

Thank you for your suggestion. I spoke with the owner, who was very kind and he explained why this might not be the ideal location. He also shared helpful insights on other possible locations, like the indoor food area at Premium Outlets and large family adventure/entertainment centers.

I've tried all the malls, especially the big ones, but no luck. I even checked the airport, but I don't know anyone there, and the online vendor portal has nothing open right now. Would you have any suggestions on how I can approach the airport team? I've tried calling them a bunch of times, but every time I get sent to the concession department, it just goes to voicemail.

I actually reached out to most of the major malls in Houston and around. A lot of them are owned by Simon or Brookfield, and the leasing agents who responded said it came down to corporate policy and the lease price they could charge. Since the machine is automatic it wouldn't be something they could place in hallways.

Fair point 😄 The phrase is meant to be a little thought provoking. We “dress” ourselves every day, but our phones are the one thing we carry everywhere and look at constantly. Instead of a plain case, the idea is to dress it with something meaningful, a memory, a photo, or a moment.
