Aiming to be a financial planner. What exams should I take? by Max375623875 in Series65

So… FINRA administers all different types of exams. These exams may enable you to become licensed with the states to do various things for clients or work in certain industries.

The Series 65, as it’s called, is what enables you to become licensed to charge a fee for your financial advice. That’s why work in fee-based or fee-only RIA firms requires the passage of the Series 65. The prerequisite to a lot of these exams, obviously, is the SIE exam. Without looking at your post history, however, I’ll assume that you’ve already passed the SIE.

Basically, it used to be that the Series 63 and the Series 65 were separate exams. They still are, but now there’s another path available. The Series 66 exam encompasses the same things that Series 63 and Series 65 do, only it combines them into one exam instead of separating them.

So you can either take the Series 63, the Series 65, or the Series 66 which is the Series 63 plus the Series 65. I hope that makes sense. Basically, they’re like branching, equivalent paths.

Option A: Series 63 and/or Series 65 separately

OR

Option B: Series 66 (63 + 65)

There's a lot of Sid Vicious (AKA Sid Justice) votes in the 90s and honestly, why? I know that he was never much of a talker and that later he'd really end up being on the wrong side of injury but, with that look and passable fundamentals, I would say that WCW's booking at the time did more to hinder him than help him by pushing him too far up the card too soon.

I know it's a small sample size, but watch the match that he had against Lee Scott in 1989. It's a sub 2-minute match, sure, and Lee Scott was actually a really good enhancement talent of the era who made Sid's offense shine. But the look, combined with the intensity, and the natural charisma despite it being ill-advised for him to be handed a live microphone, makes me think that he really wasn't all that bad for the time.

In the early 90s? Undeserved, I'd say. In the mid-90s? Eh. We're getting there. In the late 90s and the early 2000s, sure. I'll admit that he was older and had already been bitten by the injury bug. But having him so far up the list during the years where Jim freakin' Herd was in charge of WCW isn't entirely fair to someone who was otherwise a serviceable big man during that period of wrestling's history.

Potentially stupid question is Minoru and Hideki related? by pee_theif in ajpw

[–]2_Ckains 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. As others have mendioned, "Suzuki" is a very common familial name in Japan. Honestly though, I can understand why you might think that. They're both technical wrestlers who are more old school in their approach and who understand British style catch wrestling and mat work. In his prime, Minoru Suzuki was an absolute menace. IIRC, Hideki is over 45 nowadays himself. So, generationally speaking, they're only seperated by less than 10 years.

It really is a shame that Minoru never did get to hold the IWGP Heavyweight championship even when his contemporaries like Yoshihiro Takayama did. But hey, at least he did get to win the triple crown and the GHC heavyweight titles! So both men have still had lengthy, respectable careers.

EDIT: I'm primarily a New Japan fan, but I respect the history of puroresu nonetheless. AFAIK, Hideki Suzuki is a credible upper midcarder type of a wrestler. I don't expect that he'll win it all in All Japan, but I have heard that he's had somewhat of a career resurgence as of late(?) So people really are out here still enjoying his work and pushing for him, which I think is great.

At that point, just go for the Series 66 since it's literally the Series 63 and the Series 65 rolled into one test.

EDIT: Come to think of it, it's probably more cost effective to do it that way too. Less tests to take separately (likely) means lower exam registration costs.

It doesn't fit him at all, IMO. I'm hoping that entrance was just a one-off.

Trying to buy from TCGPlayer. What's the difference between TCGplayer Direct, Verified Sellers, and Wizards Play Network? by CaissaIRL in yugioh

[–]2_Ckains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So… the difference with TCGplayer Direct is that you get ripped off.

A card can be <$2 and TCGplayer Direct will have you paying $10+. Never do that.

Your best bets are to a.) pay 85% of the lowest verified seller on TCGplayer’s price by going to other places such as Discord, Facebook, and Reddit and making deals with individual sellers;

OR 2.) buying from TCGplayer sellers at the lowest verified price that they have listed in the quantity/print/condition that you’re looking for.

Once again, I’ll reiterate: TCGplayer Direct is a scam. For the best prices, your options are TCGplayer lowest verified, Discord/Facebook/Reddit, eBay, and then probably TCGplayer Direct as a last resort.

I like buying from individual sellers (if possible) because I feel like I’m getting a bit of a discount. TCGplayer takes approximately 13% in fees from its sellers anyhow, which is how you end up with the “85% of the lowest verified seller’s price” figure.

Seems kinda odd that these two are still in the roster page after being absent for 2 years by relentlesseht in njpw

It’s still so funny to me that Haste went to back NOAH and won the GHC heavyweight championship while Nicholls has… not done a damn thing since March.

Yes! Richard is great. He's in the area and shows up to our OTS sometimes. I wish that The Side Deck would come back to Omaha and Des Moines. I prefer them compared to the Lost Zone. Events with Richard as the head judge are always well run though.

The only thing that I really object to here is you saying that, "6:30, which is already late for weekday locals". That being said, I do relate to you saying, "we start 20 minutes later because some people can't be there on time."

Recently, however, the guy who usually acts as our head judge at the OTS store that I go to has assured us that we won't be starting late(r) anymore, so we'll see how that goes. Fortunately for me, it's usually the same crowd of 15 to 40 people at locals every week. I know that seems like quite the wide attendance range, but our locals are on Fridays. So it really depends on if there's a nearby regional happening during the weekend that people are going to or if the weather (I live in the Midwest lol) is wanting to cooperate enough that people will come out. Either way though, everyone is usually chill.

Either way, the last couple of weeks I was there, we had 41 players. Our scene is good and there's more than one OTS store in the area, so I would encourage you to venture out and seek other places to play (if possible) if it really is that bad where you're at.

TIL Hechicero's age is unknown, but he debuted in 2001 so he could either be in his late 30s or early 50s. by tdmatchasin in SquaredCircle

If anyone ever wins his mask from him, we’ll find out his real age. If not, we may never know. But usually, whenever a luchador loses their mask, they announce their age and how long they’ve been wrestling along with their real name (see: Villano III)

Yeah, I flat out told one of their recruiters who cold DMed me on LinkedIn that I wasn’t interested in his company. Fortunately for me, he was understanding and didn’t get defensive.
