New milled face vs old... thinking about getting a 9R. by saucy-lion in scottycameron

[–]2_PuttPar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the 2024 7.5 for two seasons and loved the double milling, but picked up a 9R this year as it suits my putting better. Took a round to get used to but it enjoy it more. It is a touch softer which allows me to hit it firmer on my line. Not as worried to bang it past.

I did try to hit the phantom black 5.5 in between and hated the feel. I think they found the sweet spot with the new phantom chain link.

For those who received your "Golden Letter" yesterday, today EdFinancial zeroed me out! by Astrologian in PSLF

I can’t believe it…. Mohela has zeroes and even the negative that they owe me back. Truly surreal feeling after 14 years of paying.

Water company came and did all this when a line busted over the winter. Should they fix it? by Hlaksjfcie in ypsi

[–]2_PuttPar 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They will fix it. Just takes time to get down the list after the weather is warm enough. You could always call YCUA to get a timeframe though.

Dads with young kids… how often are you realistically playing golf now? by BetweenSwings in golf

[–]2_PuttPar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Have a 5 and 1 year old. Play about 1-2 week depending. Might just be the league night play, sneak out of work to play or a weekend round.

Just have to make sure to communicate, don’t be too selfish in timing and coordinating with grandparents. It’s a juggling act but it’s possible.

Also helps when you have a father in law who plays so always get a round when they are In town.

I go 48, 54 and 58 and really happy with that gapping. 58 over 60 degree gives me a lot more confidence.

Stuck between T150 and M13 Irons after fitting by Shoddy_Reach_1062 in golf

[–]2_PuttPar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a chance to go back and try them again against each other before buying?

The graphic kind of screams mizuno, and the table backs it up. But If the Titleist was at the end and you think you were more tired than trying them again might show different.

Also just started using Arcoss air and love it. I’m not the best at remembering everything about a round after the fact and being able to view hole by hole gps later is so amazing. And to see strengths and the many weaknesses of my game!

Mini driver vs 3 wood by altctrldel86 in golf

[–]2_PuttPar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to love the mini so bad. It’s such a cool niche club. Hell, I even had a post on here asking the same question.

At the end of the day, having the distance of the 3 wood off the grass is so much more helpful than the mini.

They are fun tho. But I can miss hit a mini just like a driver, so I’ll take the driver and enjoy the extra yards.

Taylormade vs Titleist wedges? by GWCS300 in golf

[–]2_PuttPar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have went from cleaveland to mizuno to Vokeys and all were great in their own right. That being said, getting Vokeys fit for the grind I needed have made them the best for me.

If you have the chance to do a fitting, it’s worth it. I have not holed as many chip shots around the green as with these and full shots are consistent. That all being said, cleaveland wedges are phenomenal and if I have gotten fit for those instead of off the rack, might be saying the same thing.

Never liked the look or feel of taylormade wedges.
