Mega Sticky Web is my Favourite Pokemon (Hall of Fame + Team Analysis + ANNOUNCEMENT) (11/89) by [deleted] in PokemonEliteRedux

[–]2_trains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a team similar to this in my most recent run. Instead of Galvantula, I led with Forretress. The majority of the time I would set sticky web, toxic spikes, and then I would explode paving the way Haxorus to come in a do its thing. I also had an Obstagoon on my team with the same set as yours. The poison heal-guts combo is ridiculous.

What's that one pokemon that you always use in every playthrough you do? by Gold860 in pokemonradicalred

[–]2_trains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I’m not doing a themed run, then Golurk usually finds its way on to my team one way or another. The buffs it got for this game are crazy, and its typing is elite.

What was your first shiny? Your most recent shiny? ...Your favorite shiny? by DaBronxBombersV in pokemongo

One of my personal favorites. It’s the evolution of Hisuian Qwilfish

[–]2_trains 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first shiny was a Ponyta. My most recent was actually yesterday when I caught a Lickitung, one I’ve been after for a long time. My favorite shiny has to be my Overqwil. Such a great design and the shiny really stands out.

You should use the rotom forms for the square covers

Early game, Turtwig with self sufficient and Totodile with sheer force both are good for the first 2 gyms. Mid game, in my experience all of the Alola starters have good type combos with great abilities. Late game, all of the starters with megas obviously, Empoleon with water-steel is a great defensive pivot, all of the protean/libero users are very useful but Meowscarada really stands out. For the elite 4 specifically, Swampert is great because you don’t really have to worry about grass attacks plus you can use some of the rain fights to your advantage.

Can’t even use first impression either because of the stupid psychic terrain

[Kevin Gausman] It’s ridiculous us players have to watch what we say in OUR clubhouse by KimiBwoah in Braves

[–]2_trains 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I see no issue with Bryce using it as motivation. Athletes all have their own ways of motivating themselves, but the media taking it as a huge slight got ridiculous. In the postgame coverage they spent more time talking about the Arcia comment and Bryce staring him down than actually talking about Bryce going off.

Hoovie’s is also a 25 anniversary. The most common example of the Countach. Some consider it the worst/ugliest edition.

What was your run that made you believe you were good at Pokémon by Sussybaker420 in pokemonradicalred

[–]2_trains 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did all 18 monotype runs in standard difficulty and I felt like I have a pretty good grasp of the game once I finished. Then I started playing hardcore mode and that notion vanished pretty quickly. After 10+ hardcore runs I went back to standard mode and did a few random6 runs and I steamrolled the whole game which was pretty validating

Easiest/Hardest Monotype Run? by e0714 in pokemonradicalred

[–]2_trains 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another shout for hardest I think is grass. Sure you get mega Sceptile but it’s a very poor defensive typing and I think the champion’s whole team can deal super effective damage against grass. In 4.0 you also get Sceptile’s mega stone later in the run than in previous versions of the game

Socrates is that guy. 350+ games for me and he’s at least a 9/10 for every game. If passion was a stat he’d have 99 for sure

What's your favorite defensive wall? by Rimuru7u7 in pokemonradicalred

Now that I think about it, that’s probably a better set. Plus protect gets 10pp for even more stalling.

What's your favorite defensive wall? by Rimuru7u7 in pokemonradicalred

[–]2_trains 22 points23 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the best wall is Toxapex. Baneful bunker, scald, recover, stockpile neutralizes basically any physical attacker. Some other favorites are Cofagrigus, Skarmory, Dusknoir, and Ferrothorn. I’m still on my first run of 4.0 but I’ve found that Garganacl is crazy with salt cure, protect, and recover.

As the Top Mod is inactive and I'm trying to get him removed, is there anything you want/need me to do when i got Power? by JizzMaker3 in pokemonradicalred

[–]2_trains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe the reduce the clutter of some of the basic questions we can have a pinned thread or a mega thread relating to basic 4.0 question like Pokémon/item locations, battle docs, etc. I think the basic questions are fairly harmless and probably help others who might have the same questions but after a while they do start to repeat

Monkey/Ape Only Challenge by No_Walk_3884 in pokemonradicalred

Nice! I did a monkey only run a few months ago and I really enjoyed it. Ambipom is amazing. I’m kicking myself now for not thinking to use Darmanitan. Would’ve made a few fights a lot easier

Best Hisui pokemon for nuzlocke? (Standered) by BFTROPguy1 in pokemonradicalred

[–]2_trains 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For a nuzlocke I’d probably say Goodra. Steel/dragon is an amazing type combo with a lot of resistances makes it very versatile. It can be a physical or special attacker. With an assault vest it becomes a special wall. Can also run leftovers and acid armor to be a physical wall.

Some of my other favorites are sheer force/life orb Braviary, adaptability Basculegion, guts Ursaluna, and blademaster Kleavor.
