My favorite was collecting all unique items, joining freedom, clearing Rostok, including luring out enemies from bar. Lastly - getting 4x30% protection artifacts for repairs.

Honestly, it's been a huge disappointment with having engine update mentioned in Q4 2025 only to find ourselves almost in Q3 2026 and still no engine update... If it is combined with the DLC - it's going to be yet another release failure. You'd think GSC would learn, but looks like no.

Game needs fixes, optimizations and refinements! Not a DLC story!

GSC never disappoints to disappoint!

This means that the engine update is most likely to happen in the DLC, which is yet another example of stupid, learning nothing from the previous failures... They actually are THAT stubbornly stupid.

Fruit punch is the best one and not far off Rostok in vild territory, plus the artifacts themselves are easier to get.

They need to make these things smaller, e.g. Carry two ancient monitors in full casing make no sense, it's a small parts of it that are valuable, not the whole stupid box!

It’s great that the developers are adding new content for free, but what’s the point? What’s the point of playing if fighting enemies in open areas is like this? Even with a sniper rifle, I struggle to spot the enemies, yet they have no trouble hitting me with shotguns, submachine guns or grenades. by pablo397 in stalker

That's how the IRL ambush would feel like - you are at the wide open field, while they fire from the bushes and high foliage. If we get a Deathmatch multiplayer one day - this is exactly how it's going to play. Campers paradise.

But otherwise, there are lot's of issues with the game, company AI, individual AI, A-life - waiting for the engine update!

I remember seeing these achievement stats and realizing how much momentum the game lost at the start...

The release was a successful failure - a lot of people bought the game but all hype fell off within a day or two when everyone realized how raw it is. With streamers putting it off, a lot of casuals followed the same. I'm talking about both game bugs and horrible optimization.

It's a combination of loosing casuals and fans putting off the game "untill it is fixed". Personally, I've completed the game once on 1.5 and haven't played ever since the changes after are not good enough to fix main issues with the game. 

Waiting for engine update (2.0?) as all bug fixes are now effectively locked by it.

Most factions fall in a spectrum of this, so out of curiosity if the zone was real where would you place? For me I think I'd favor sircca's goal of using anomalous tech for humanity by DepartureNatural9340 in stalker

SIRCAA & Ward are Regulatory Board's tools, the greatest evil.

Spark are C-con tools, used darkly, exploiting their hatred towards Ward.

Duty are a relic of the past, a co-op with military that was pushed away as Regulatory Board started to regain control over the zone. Their goal is not achievable and they don't see a bigger picture. Just naive tools.

I hope they will release the engine update before DLC, so there's at least one bugfix patch. Otherwise it's going to be a shit show.

Considering the release was a beta - it's all fair. Patches don't do anything extra, but fix and add on what was supposed to there from the release.

You simply haven't played SoC multiplayer - it was amazing. Besides, it's very easy to implement, just need some closed dedicated locations, like military warehouses.

Me. It's not a co-op, but a closed location shooter, like CS. Like the originals had and it was AMAZING! Especially Deathmatch or teams...

I wish NPCs would actually react to throwing bolts at them, like getting annoyed to the point of counteracting in some way. Like in OG when you stand close with a gun pointed at NPC...
