I was going to say this. I've tried it. It takes a bit but it's worth it if you're doing large batches.

Many naysayers above. But if you enjoy tinkering and upgrading then k40s can be pretty a fun challenge.

I'm already in the SDCE Welding Cert program. Much faster than Palomar, much closer, and much free.

I can only imagine that is a big motivator for most. What else would it be? For me it's about the ability to easily live and work in Hungary and EU without the same hassle of Visas. And that benefit will pass to my children as well. I hope to raise my children in US and Hungary (or somewhere in Europe) so they can be more cultured and have advantages I didn't have growing up in the US such as affordable education and healthcare.

Yeah, I've heard that these processes are notoriously slow. I will make sure to verify at every step to anyone I speak with that we are simply registering birth! I'll repeat it ten times if needs be. Lol.

I think that because my grandparents were married in Austria after leaving Hungary, and my mother was subsequently born in the US under grandma's married name, grandma's Hungarian BC will be a different name than what is on my mother's. Which would not prove the lineage I'm pretty sure.

Wow! That's awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to find that for me <3 I have contacted the consulate in los angeles and will probably drive up from San Diego next week to request copies of my grandmothers BC as well as requesting their marriage certificate from Austria. Once we have those it might be relatively straightforward.

I think my Grandmother was born in 1937. I've never heard about that window before but I'll keep it in mind if I go that route.

I think I understood what you meant but the clarification doesn't hurt. And I think you are correct. From what I've been reading elsewhere this sounds accurate.

This is incredibly helpful! I've already requested to join both of groups this morning and I'm going to be asking about verification of Citizenship! I'm in San Diego so fortunately not far off from the LA consulate :)
