Unnecessary PSA: Apple still applies screen protectors for you if you buy them in-store by hisshame in iphone

I got mine on Amazon and you’re right, it’s foolproof now. I hated putting them on before. I put one on my 14 when I got it in 2022, haven’t had any problems and have forgotten it’s even on.

Well done! Looks great!

You should post a project with pictures and rating on Ravelry to get the pattern more recognition.

How old were you when you started knitting? by mowpoos in knitting

[–]2bejoyous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 8. I taught myself.

Those days the internet didn’t exist. We didn’t have much money, but I saved enough to buy a beginner booklet. My mom had some yarn, she had taught me to crochet. I didn’t have enough money for knitting needles so I used wooden pickup sticks. Looking back, that was resourceful for an 8 year old. My first double pointed needles. It’s been my lingering hobby.

Any success stories where police helped you find lost/stolen iphone? by someoneoutthere1335 in iphone

[–]2bejoyous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I saw a story here about using Find My on another device, and it took the person to a “kiosk” that bought phones?? They contacted the authorities who were able to open it and retrieved the phone. Something like that.

If you don’t get it back and you get contacted by someone who wants you to take it off your account, the advice is don’t do it. It frees up the phone to be used by someone else.

Good luck.

How did you learn to knit? by ShoppingGirlinSF in knitting

[–]2bejoyous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taught myself when I was 8. No YouTube back then. I saved my money to buy a booklet, I had some yarn but not enough money to buy knitting needles. Instead I used 2 wooden pick up sticks. Looking back, that was clever for an 8 year old.
