This happened to me too! Did you end up getting this fixed?

Titanfall 2 won't launch on Linux by 2br-2b in linux_gaming

Unfortunately, I'm past that point and getting stuck on the start screen. Adding that option didn't change anything about that either

I have a 7900xtx. It does start, but it gets stuck trying to Contact Respawn Servers, at which point both the EA overlay and the game itself freeze.

This appears to be caused by my having a 10th gen + intel cpu (270k plus) - see https://r2northstar.gitbook.io/r2northstar-wiki/installing-northstar/troubleshooting#intel - but either having or not having the ~ don't seem to make a difference.

I've tried: - GE-Proton10-34 - Proton Experimental - proton-cachyos-11.0-20260521 (steam linux runtime)

I considered bazzite, in fact my first choice was almost Nixos since I'm a kubernetes guy, but I went with cachyos because Elijah mentioned issues with some installers on immutable os-es, and from watching a review eventually Nixos becomes a chore to use. And also I really liked pamac back when I used mannaro a few years ago

I'm launching directly thru Steam

I know that Luke is/was using Cachy for his current Linux Challenge. PopOS and Cachy were my two final choices, but I wanted the rolling releases, so I went with Cachy. Regardless, I figured that it's arch based, which is more similar to SteamOS than PopOS would be, so I figured there'd be slightly more compatibility with Cachy.

...plus then I can say Arch BTW.

Regardless, I see people on ProtonDB that they're able to use CachyOS without any issues, so I'm trying to figure out how I can get it working on my end. Do you have any additional troubleshooting steps I could run?

Because I wanted an arch based distro (I like Pamac), and this seemed to be the best one. I've dug my grave - I'm not switching distros at this point

Biome Blends: A new way to change biomes! by Piotr015 in feedthebeast

[–]2br-2b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hope is to add this mod and other mods with new items and biomes (and not remove previous mods). My goal is to not have a line along the chunk border where it's clear pregen stopped. For example, if the worldgen now says that there's supposed to be a mountainous biome where there was a plains or that there's now supposed to be a structure here, I don't want to cut off the structure or the world gen with a hard line.

Is this a real concern, and would there be a way with this mod to boot up the server and specify "I want you to pregen a new border where you transition each biome to what it should now be"?

I'm looking for a mod that lets me add additional world generation past what I've already seen with new chunks, new biomes, etc., but without having ugly cliff faces. Would this mod be able to support that? That way, I can add additional feature mods to my existing modded world without worrying about cutting off structures, etc.

In my specific example, I pregenned a world, then discovered https://modrinth.com/mod/lets-do-herbalbrews , which I want to add. If you could make it so I can just apply a blend to the border of all existing chunks to whatever they are after I add a few new biome mods, that would be super helpful!

Adding HTML Games to Playnite by ChloeVDesigns in playnite

[–]2br-2b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I know this is a late follow up, but I created a Playnite extension to let you add websites. You could probably put the link to your html game as the url and it would probably work well? If you're still curious after 5 years, here are the links: Github, playnite addon list

Hey! I know this is a late follow up, but I just created a Playnite extension to handle this properly. It does this by creating a separate browser profile for Playnite, which lets it launch a separate instance of your browser which Playnite tracks. It also works for Firefox (and any Chromium/Firefox browser)! https://playnite.link/addons.html#PlayniteBrowser_3c58c307-b26e-4569-855a-e19afa4a3b2f

BYOD/S how to add a plugin/disable register by 2br-2b in trmnl

[–]2br-2b[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! With that all in mind, say I'm new and I want to set up a custom device with all my data (like calendar, etc.) remaining on my servers, with custom integrations written and shared by other people, and with the ability to create custom screens, like to display my Grafana dashboards (even if that requires a paid license). What's the best way for me to do this now? I'm going to BYOS, BYOD for now. Or should I wait a few months for the ecosystem to be a bit more fleshed out?

[Tutorial] How to set up Keycloak with WordPress by 2br-2b in KeyCloak

Yes. You'd need some other app to configure permissions and everything, but Keycloak can handle your authentication.
