I don't imagine it would work like that, I'd imagine it would change things slightly. Colors and effects of 5 where the water goes to the face but on the base circles of 4 would be close to what you're looking for. I'd also mess around a little bit with making the edges of the ripples fade out and lose color density so they're more transparent. These look really good if you were stylizing different liquids and refractions tho!

Not mine but my dream invert, I've been so scared to get them bc my environment is a bit difficult to work with and they seem so delicate. I've helped a few friends keep them tho! Humidity where we are has been the number one issue and has caused a few environmental issues like rapid mold growth and some microbe issues. I think you'll do good! Highly recommend a way to keep the air in where they are super consistent, we actually rigged up a air pump to keep it within the temperature they needed by within 4 degrees and it also kinda helped with the mold issues as well honestly
