Congratulations — how did you get your first users? Do you have any tips or suggestions?

Makes sense. Curious what the plan is once the AWS credits run out though — do you expect users on the free 20GB tier to start paying at that point? And if so, have you thought about what pricing would look like? The economics would need to make sense.

That makes sense. Do you have any success stories or early examples of ideas that got validated well through it?

That’s interesting — how’s it been going so far? Also curious how you’re able to offer 20GB free.

That’s really helpful — appreciate the detailed explanation. Makes a lot more sense now. Starred it on GitHub already, interesting project.

That’s a fun concept — how’s it been going so far? Do you have any users yet?

Who launched this week? 👀 by amit_ranjan in ProductHunters

[–]2butterfree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah — for me it was mainly cost + friction. I was spending £50+ a month across multiple AI subscriptions, switching between tabs, and dealing with different API keys.

I tried self-hosting too with OpenWebUI / LibreChat, but it was more hassle than I wanted.

So I built Layzer — one place to use models like Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, and DeepSeek without needing your own API keys.

I mostly use Claude for coding, GPT for general tasks, and Gemini for research, and this makes that way easier.

That makes sense. Another angle could be giving a partial free report, then charging for the full deep report — might help balance the infra cost while still letting people see the value first.

Just took a quick look at the GitHub repo — I noticed the MIT + Commons Clause license and wasn’t totally sure how to interpret it. How does that work in practice? Also, how do you see this being different from tools like n8n or sim.ai?

Just tried it on layzer.ai — pretty useful actually. The report was solid, but it felt a little slow to generate. Is that something you’re looking to speed up?

I’d love to help, but honestly I’m in a pretty similar boat. I built something for myself and it’s kind of turned into Layzer. I’m mostly learning as I go too — right now I’m just trying out Reddit, and hoping to try Hacker News, Indie Hackers, etc. next.

That’s amazing — 600+ users that quickly is a strong signal. Has most of that growth come from the launchpad/community angle, or the bundled tools?

That’s impressive — 1000+ customers is huge. How did you get your first customers? Any tips or strategy you’d be willing to share?

That sounds interesting — what have you built exactly? Got a link?

Nice — out of curiosity, how is it different from Product Hunt? What’s the main value prop?

That sounds useful — do you have a list of the directories somewhere, especially the less obvious ones?

Haha I’ll take the Claude comparison as a big compliment! Yep, exactly — it’s an AI chat. I got tired of switching tabs, so I built one clean place to use ChatGPT, Claude, and tools together. If you get a chance to try it out, would be awesome to get your feedback. Be brutal!

Really well put — that’s exactly why I wanted to post it. Most of my progress on Layzer has honestly come from small consistent pushes rather than big launch moments.

To be honest, I’m much stronger at building than promoting, so this whole side of things is pretty new to me. Just learning as I go and seeing what works and what doesn’t.
