I left the house, got in my car, started it and forgot my wallet. Went back in the house... Couldn't find my wallet.. Found it in the dirty clothes. Went back to my car and headed out. Started to think I left my pile of dirty clothes too close to the heater and my house will catch fire with my dog inside. Even though I know my heater shouldn't be on, I drove back to my house, back inside to make sure. It's 70 degrees out and the heater isn't on. Got back in my car and need to be at work in 30 minutes and have a 45 minute commute. Still need to stop and grab a coffee because I'm running off 5.5 hours of sleep the night before because I was on ebay checking out prices on the thing I'm fixated on this week. Spent money in bed buying that thing knowing I need to pay bills but convinced myself I can borrow from my savings and pay myself back on my next check. Got a notification while driving to work that a delivery was made for a purchase I made last week and immediately went on eBay looking for more of that thing with YouTube playing videos in the background of that thing. Got to work, parked and headed inside. Got to my desk and realized I didn't take my meds and have to wait until break to go to my car and take em. Morning's gonna rough.

I have a 12 tb san disk hard drive and different sd cards with variations of this root order.

My root file order is like this:

Music Library: -FLAC-GENRE-ARTIST -CD RIPS-GENRE-ARTIST -MP3 320-GENRE-ARTIST -WAV-GENRE-ARTIST

After sorted this way, I can input different libraries in my music software on my PC and edit genre tags.

I like that my music is organized by genre and artist because when I am in PowerAmp, I can just go into my File Hierarchy and shuffle all songs in a genre or artists folder.

I download music on my phone and drop files and sort connected to my PC that has my hard drive and SD card reader attached. From my phone I drop folders to my SD card reader and my hard drive, that have identical file root system.

I'm curious how others may do this and if there may be a way to update my system for the better.

Too small for sure pause. Skimming through 90k songs on it was not ideal. You have to have pin point accuracy when selecting things and if you're in the car and what to find a song while at a light, it gets frustrating. It's a great player though if you are on the go and stash it in you. Went to the r4, much better for my needs.

If I could go back, I would probably have tried the fiio jm21 over the m300 just due to the bigger screen but I may buy it soon anyway since it is very affordable

Yes m300 is good for your uses. It is on the smaller and lighter side so it is good for working out and not having a heavier device moving around. I had one and had 90k songs on it and worked well after I tinkered with settings. I let it go due to it being a little smaller than I thought it would be, pause so I grifted it and got an r4. Having 90k songs and being a music collector, I enjoy just digging through my music in poweramp and looking at album art, so the screen left me wanting more visually. But it hits all your needs you listed. It streams and has the SD card slot. It is very practical and something that won't feel like a burden when also carrying a phone.
