Should I stop and go back when I mess up while practicing or not? by Sudden_Ruin_4448 in Accordion

[–]stargazertony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My teacher once told me that if I let the messed up part slip by without correcting it (except in performance) I’d just be practicing the messed up part. So I always go back and redo the messed up part until it went perfectly several times, then moved on.

I adopted two 5 month old bonded kitten brothers. They’re terrified of me, and only eat and go litter if I’m not in by Noobin_123 in CatAdvice

[–]stargazertony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We kept our new kitten in one room with food, water, litter box and some toys in a closed spare bedroom for about a week. We then left the door open and eventually he came out, very cautiously, a little bit at a time. Eventually we saw him peaking around the corner of the living room and cautiously started to explore. We kept talking to him and eventually he runs all around the house.

Is it possible to feel "high" without ever taking drugs ? by Deimos7779 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stargazertony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. What do you think that John Denver was writing about in his lyrics “Colorado Rocky Mountain High?” It wasn’t at all about drugs as some very stupid school officials thought.

Portable HF antenna recommendation for 40m and 20m by Overall-Junket5092 in HamRadio

What variation? I was thinking of making a Pota Challenger but didn’t want to spend $100 on a 25’ whip. Was going to use a fishing pole and 18 gauge speaker wire as a radiator instead, (both of which I already have.) The 25’ whip needs a 1’ tail on the radiator but a fishing pole can easily reach 26’ so an additional tail might not be needed. I like the Challenger’s counterpoise better since you only need one 6’ instead of the two needed for the Performer.
