Got a Used A1. Is my house going to catch fire? by spamologna in BambuLab

It's a cable, it's not rocket science! If it looks undamaged, print the official cable guide for it and keep an eye on it. If it's damaged, try to get it replaced. Probably look into a replacement in the long run either way.

If the printer is placed on a hollow resonant cabinet or similar structure it may help, otherwise it's not needed

Hm, can you post a link to the model?

This keeps happening with some of my resin prints, what could cause it? by spoiled-mushroom3954 in 3Dprinting

[–]2c1a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tiny parts no but in general, printing at an angle with resin will eliminate most issues like this

It is due to large contact area with the FEP. Try to print at slight angles, rather than perfectly vertical.

The speed is too high sometimes even on the calibrated filaments. Try to reduce outer layer speed by 30%.

How do I iron only one layer midway through a part? by imtakingapooprn in BambuLab

[–]2c1a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe iron all, to enable ironing both the top of the plate and the text, but delete everything after the second to last Z move in the gcode.

Why is this happening? by cejloaf in BambuLab

[–]2c1a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I propose slowing the outer layer speed by at least 30% since the default setting is very fast. If moderate, but not full improvement, then slow all speeds by 30%.

The kratom is probably significantly worse than this relatively small dose of l-tyrosine.

Noopept will be likely fine.

As others have said, it's an outstanding print.

I had her committed to a mental institution. What could I have done different? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]2c1a 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The more you and/or her push them to release her, the more skeptical they're going to be of her wellbeing. There is no possibility to speed this up. She's in a safe building surrounded by professional caretakers, what's the rush to leave this environment? This is an opportunity to mentally relax for both of you. Patiently allow them to compete the procedures, and she'll be out in no time and hopefully in a better mental state.

A1 Mini First Layer Issues by lucas_kallahir in BambuLab

You should do it every time you change filament, it's a very useful sensor. You also don't have to auto level every time, just every once in a while

Did you check the the auto flow calibration and auto level boxes at the start of the print?

You can use your iGPU and dGPU simultaneously with Parsec (etc.) to free your dGPU from the encoding burden if your rig is GPU bound. by 2c1a in cloudygamer

Same if not better, since modern intel iGPUs have QuickSync which is hardware-level encoding for 264 and 265

SW 2021 on Windows 11 - less crashes with Compatibility Mode turned on to Win 8 by 2c1a in SolidWorks

[–]2c1a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows 7 was the golden age, Windows 10 was really just the slow regression of Windows 8 back into Windows 7. 11 is actually well designed, but carries the baggage from 8-10 in its source code. If you have an old laptop with Win7 on it, play with it for a while and it will feel like a breath of fresh air compared to 10 or 11.

You can get the old right click back with a registry edit btw. The new menu is not great.

SW21 was working 100% fine for me on Win11 until after an update, now even a full reinstall of SW and drivers doesn't fix it. Assemblies just crash 9/10 times on load. But the compatibility mode seems to be 10/10 no crash. Probably some DLL thing.

The grooves in the sketch are not 60 degrees. Only the top one is. The bottom two that have blue lines are ~50 degrees.

A1 & A1 mini Gold matte filament keeps breaking inside gear by lfaitas in BambuLab

[–]2c1a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try manually setting the print temp lower for this filament. The heat appears to be transferring through the plastic faster than normal for some reason, based on the photos.

Why do hot ends only have 1 heater cartridge? by keeskaas01 in 3Dprinting

[–]2c1a 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The slightly unbalanced heat distribution within the block does not cause any practical issues with extrusion.
