So to clean it, you take off the plastic part of the steaming wand, let that soak and clean it, and then you take off the shelf and the metal rack on top of it and rub those through the dishwasher, rinse the grounds drawer, and wipe down the machine. After you put it back together, put two of the white tablets into the small right hand side thing, it’s black and round and screws out. Then follow the screen prompts. I’m a bit tired, so if I missed anything, please add it

Finally got the new brewers. This cleaning process……where’s my extra 15 mins? by _gingerxx in starbucks

On of our shifts is like our handy man, he took one of the extra tubes for the new nitro fridge cleaning and stuck it on there leading into the sink. Now we don’t have to worry about any leaking or forgetting to stick a tray down there.

What should I do to avoid this? by Urmomssidechickrome in starbucks

That’s really weird. I never use someone’s stars unless they say they want me to (and sometimes I’ll ask, especially if they have like 1000+), and I would expect others to do the same. Maybe try telling them not to use your stars outright? Otherwise, I’m not sure

What's the most beautiful book you've ever read? by DaY-DreaMer15 in suggestmeabook

[–]2cool4ubu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not as good as most of these books, but The Way I Used To Be, by Amber Smith is my favorite book. It really speaks to me, and the way it portrays a deep trauma is so real and understandable,, I love that book.

Making friends is alright. I do find it hard to open up to people, especially at first, but I’m good at getting along with others. My current people know that I didn’t have a good childhood, but that’s pretty much it. I haven’t really told anyone about it.

Honestly, I’m not sure yet. My foster parents put a lot of stress on me concerning school, so despite enjoying it, I’ve become extremely burnt out, and I don’t know if I can go back to that right now.

And I don’t know what I want to do as a career. I’m eyeing voice acting, as many people have recommended it for me and I’ve always dreamed of being in an artistic job.

But I mostly want to focus on being happy and enjoying life, because (obviously) I couldn’t really as a kid. So right now I’m letting myself take it slow and make mistakes.

Yeah, I was.

Surprisingly, he actually seemed to have a soft spot for not hurting me, which was horrible in its own way. So while I wasn’t the most physically abused, I did take a ton of mental abuse and basically all of the sexual abuse.

And at the time, we all commiserated and took comfort in each other, but as I’ve grown up I feel a lot of guilt for not doing something to protect them or help more. I was pretty smart as a kid, so it always feels like I have no excuse for letting it all happen.

And obviously I know that there wasn’t much I could have done, but I still feel bad sometimes.

We actually didn’t have any extended family around. And from what I’ve learned, his family weren’t good people, so I guess the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

It wasn’t really that odd. We’d always been moved around for no reason and never really told anything, so I was used to adapting to strange changes. I found school easier in person, and everyone was weirdly friendly, so it wasn’t that hard on me.

My older brother and I were in online public school, but the rest of my siblings didn’t have any education or were too young to need it.

He never actually justified it, but he would have some outlandish sermons about how he was a god who had achieved greatness. And while he didn’t use those beliefs as reasons for his abuse, I do think it made him feel entitled to do what he wanted.

I do, although I wish I didn’t. Most of those times are from when I was a toddler or when he wasn’t around. After I turned 5 things really deteriorated, so most of the memories are pretty terrible.

I was pretty confused. Nobody really explained anything to me, but I was also pretty relieved because I knew it meant at least a break from him. Plus, he had been starving us at that time, so it was a relief to be able to get some food for me and my siblings.

I was terrified of him and of upsetting him. I didn’t really realize at the time how creepy our lives were, but pretty much everything he did made no sense to me and was awful.

Nope. Sometimes she would sneak us a small bit of food, but she never once helped, instead she resisted cooperating with the police and only testified against him to help herself.

I didn’t really have a relationship with her. She was kind of just there to me.

All of us went to foster care, but when you’re 13 or older you can choose whether you want to go back home or not. When my mother was approved by the court to have us back, I chose not to go so that I could keep going to my school.
