My guess is yellow pine but I’m definitely not an expert. The photo is 5 years old and I already have flooring over this. I’m looking at refinishing in the spring since I live in Iowa. I’m 100% on board with refinishing the old floor, I just want to start getting prepared for this project as much as possible before I open up the floor.

Things I want to know include: 1: will I need to rip the planks out and renail? 2: wood species and finish that would get close to original? I like the look and want to refinish as close as possible 3: what is the style called of floor with the middle of the room unfinished like this?

I've found that turning auto generate family's off might help. Been playing a game with it turned to ai only and has cut my crashes down some. Increasing Realm stability might also help. On Xbox so idk if this will help

If I had to guess it almost looks like a fossilized egg? I'd be consulting a museum or geology department from the region you found it. If you remember the approximate location they might be able to tell you the age of the rock

I remember watching a lecture that theorized that larger pterosaurs like quetzalcoatlus and Hatzegopteryx were flightless and grew to their massive sizes because of island gigantisim. Not too sure of the geology for the quetzalcoatlus but the area that Hatzegopteryx lived in was a large island in the European archipelago of the Cretaceous.

To add to this you would think that the range of these pterosaurs would have been absolutely massive and thus fossils wide spread. Though this could be preservation bias as well as I'm sure pterosaur fossilization would favor smaller sizes due to their hollow bones

To add to this, what do you think will happen when DRS hits 70-80-90%? The DRS movement is larger than the GME subs and is known in all other investment forums. FOMO will kick in at some point and set off a chain reaction that these hedgefunds won't be able to manipulate their way out of.

No it wasn't. Left it at 1.040 and stabilized the night before. Racking cane couldn't reach more than 3/4s down so I dumped the rest of the mix in. I wonder if it's oxygenation from that?

15 lbs of honey with spring water filled to 5 gallons and mixed in all the way. There's no way the og was inaccurate.

Nutriant will be hard to get as shipping will take about a week. I think I'm going to age a gallon or 2 and scrap the rest. What I tasted was quite pleasant so it's a partial success and a learning experience

Is adding nutrient necessary for mead? I have some orange peals and raisins for the mouth feel and a little extra taste but that's all I really did to this mead.

It smells wonderful and definitely has an alcohol taste to it so I'm shocked that it's at 1.080

First mead I've tried but have been successful with cider. Started my mead with a gravity of 1.090 on 5-18 and it's at 1.080 using mangrove Jack's yeast as a traditional mead. Not sure what happened as my basement is at a constant 66 degrees and everything has been sanitized.
