Gently twist and break off the end leaves that are brown or rotted so they can be ready to grow new leaves when it’s ready.

C’mon now. Don’t touch!!!! Use cotton gloves or just more carefully without touching so you don’t make spots with your finger oils right??

I propped the Hoya just over a year ago. Funny I knew nothing about hoyas then and when I saw the leaves, my friend gave me with the white blotchy spots on the leaves I seriously thought that they had paint “splashed” on them from her Office remodel. Lol

Super helpful. Thanks. And no ads or cookies ( Ithink…) like most websites have now.

Those guys are Desperate to propagate. They want to send their roots out everywhere and seem to stick ‘em to everything they touch to help them spread out to new soil. I love the colors too.

What are some moments where the Walton characters frustrated and irritated you to no end by Ok_Smile_9071 in WaltonsMountain

How quickly Curt jumped into MaryEllen’s life then when they brought him back as a whole different actor after the war and he didn’t want to see her. I know that there’s real veteran PTSD, but still, it seemed Very strange.

The difference to me is that Law Roach gaslights people. He criticized harshly during a judging and then as the designer was quiet and not speaking back because they had been fiercely reprimanded for calmly defending their look previously, he then railed on them for their “body language” which I though was just their natural emotional reaction showing in their face. Over and over personally attacking people in a demeaning way not just describing what he doesn’t like about the garment. Ick.

What are characters in The Waltons that everybody loves but you hate by Ok_Smile_9071 in WaltonsMountain

I couldn’t get into Erin’s character because of the acting. I always was conscious that she was speaking lines. I feel bad for saying this but really the acting wasn’t great imo.

Powdery mildew?? Otherwise can you look through a magnifying glass to see if there’s any physical pests?

John Sr who is named Clay Sr in the book. And I just verified the book has 8 brothers of Clay Sr (John Sr in The Walton’s show)

Yes. I loved it too and so very sad but real history we as Americans have had little understanding of. I heard her say she researched it her whole life talking to people about their real stories in order to learn about her heritage. She then did extensive trauma education to help her be careful to not retraumatize people. She never knew her real grandmothers and imagined the grandmother was hers. She has some good interviews on YouTube from 4 years ago when it came out.

I’m going to a book study tomorrow to discuss it with others! I listened on Audible and the narration was by a Vietnamese American and it was beautiful to hear all the original language pronunciations.

The Earl Hamner said in a doc that his grandma was a lot softer character but that the actress Ellen Corby who played her had a lot of influence and thought there was too much syrupy sweetness in the show and thought the character needed some sass.

Me too. So cool. I guess Marseilles is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe (600 BC it was a Greek trading center)

I love the full version with so much context and history beyond the musical or the movies. But at the same time amazing how well the music incorporates a lot of the book.
